Session 12: Family Weekend is Not for Shadowfellians
General Summary
So when last we left off we were headed to the mage tower game and things were actually going pretty well. I'd never been to a mage tower game before and it was actually pretty legit. I got pretty into cheering - or at least trying to instigate fights between the players. The Silverquills won, which is pretty fantastic since that's my school... unless I flunk out. Speaking of flunking out, after the game we told the staff we saved the familiars so the game could even happen. Cillian and I asked to get back into our extracurriculars since we had saved the day yet again. Surprisingly, they went with it and let us back in without too much of a fuss. We then asked to be given some test leniency in the future because we had saved the school so many times. We were basically told to know our place, so we decided to stop helping so much. Whatever. Fuck 'em.
So the next day rolls around and it's the end of family weekend. THANKFULLY. All we had left was a closing brunch. When we got there, Cathia's dad was talking about investing her tuition money in NFTs. Skoldreg's dad tried to follow the conversation but he was high again. Cathia told her dad she was worried about her him losing her tuition money. If that happens, at least it inspired me to write a new story so maybe I can help her with her tuition money with the proceeds I make from this story. It's called "How will I possibly pay for this tuition? Wink Wink Nudge Nudge." Just as we were moving on from awkward tuition talk and startign to enjoy the massive brunch spread, more shit went south. A bunch of creatures from the shadowfell suddenly burst into the room. I didn't know them, so that's something at least. The scene was complete chaos so the Failures jumped out the window.
Our eyes were immediately drawn to one of the buildings where a lot of magic seemed to be emanating from. We made our way there, and it was fucking horrific. It was my parents. They had some other dreadful ass hoes helping them and together they had two randos and Naviask, Cillian's Dad-master person, chained up and were syphoning their power and life force to hold open a portal to the Shadowfell. Dad was just pouring in his army saying how he was going to take this place over and bring slaves back to the Shadowfell. Of course, Dad said tons of awful stuff to me and said he didn't care if I died because I told him what he was doing was fucked up and I would never want to come back to the Shadowfell with him. We fought some more and he told me I was a huge failure and he hates me and that I was stupid. I told him it was his fault. He said it wasn't. I said he probably was right because probably I wasn't this real kid because he was a cuck. He disappeared after that. Fuck him for real.
We didn't even have time to process what was happening, because we knew it was up to us to put a stop to this. So we just started attacking dad's two backup hoes that were syphoning Dad-master's power and bringing awful shit through the portal. There was a force field around them, so I decided to try to free the two bound people that they were torturing. Before I was able to get to her, shadow mastiffs snuck up and started attacking. ONE OF THEM WAS NECROSIS. MY OWN FREAKING DOG!! I tried to calm him back down but he bit the shit out of me. I froze. I can't hurt him.
We focused our attention on the other shadow mastiff and got it down. Night put Necrosis to sleep, but like not that kind of to sleep, just like a little nap. We untied the lady they had hogtied and then Night's elk, Alan, ran up to try to hurt to the backup sorcerer bitches. We all and ran around the force field where we could actually get to the evil minions. Night started singing a song about letting the dogs out and it was weird, and oddly inappropriate since my own dog has been trying to maul me and my friends, but for whatever reason we felt pretty inspired by it. Alan and Randy teamed up on one of the bad magic bastards and crushed him. We were all fighting against these evil sorcerer type people pretty hard but Skoldreg and the lady we freed, Marigold, just started making out. WTF? We all tried to get Skoldreg to snap out of it because it was super not the time for sexcapades. It didn't work. He passed the fuck out. I think this bitch roofied him. And like honestly that is the last fucking straw for today. My dad tries to kill and or enslave my entire school, through some sort of BDSM looking ritual with Cillian's bossdad person, then my dog tries to murder me, and now the very bitch we tried to save has roofied Skoldreg. Hell. No.
So Cillian went over to check on Skoldreg and make sure he was still alive. He was, but he was not okay. Once we finally got the last asshole caster down we went to confront Marigold, the lady Skoldreg was making out with when he dropped to near death. She said she had no idea what happened. Then this bitch got super creepy and started saying all sorts of thirsty shit to like all of us. Then she started sexy dancing and shit and we all got kinda dazed. The stupid bitch came up to me and said she wanted to bone down. I told her to read the goddamn room because this was not the time for that. But, I don't know. Things got weird then. I don't really know what happened after that. Next thing I knew, I woke up next to Necrosis on the floor. Cathia was unconscious. I looked up at Night, who had just healed me, and just as I did she fainted. As I was still reeling trying to figure out what was going on I saw Cillian heal Skoldreg. Everything looked awful for us and it was just too fucking much for me. I screamed and flew forward with everything I had thunder punching the shit out of this sex predator ass bitch. I busted her ass into the wall. Skoldreg came and healed Cathia as Marigold pulled herself out of the wall and started fighting with Randy. I looked over to see Cillian gently pushing Necrosis through the portal back to the Shadowfell. And then I felt a rush of cold and I turned to see Cathia freeze Marigold to death.
We woke Naviask up at this point. He had no idea what happened. He said he and Dad had just come to hang out here because he thought they were bros but he can't remember anything after that. I told him Dad had fucked us all over and was trying to do a lot of murder and enslavement. He seemed genuinely upset and concerned about that, which honestly seems kind of weird considering that he was some weird contract over Cillian. I'm not sure I understand this guy.
Anyway, that's all for now. I need to sleep and figure out what comes next for me. I don't know how to keep showing up for classes after my own family tried to kill everyone.
