Ursu’s Oasis

Ursu’s Oasis the city by the sea. After the Ursu saved the city the citizens and rulers decided to build and dedicate many resources to producing temples and shrines to Ursu. In the center of the city is a great pyramid dedicated to Ursu. Many residents come to the pyramid each day to pray to Ursu and thank her for all she has provided. Surrounding the temple is a great marketplace to sell all sorts of wears and gifts, whether they are handmade in Ursu’s Oasis or from the surrounding kingdoms. Outside the great markets are homes made from clay and stone. Many of the homes are connected and create an intricate network of streets and alleyways. Many of the residents can be seen having parties and hanging out on the rooftops of these buildings often trading wears and eating together. Past the homes of the residents and just inside of the wall are the farms that help feed the city. Many who do not sell in the market come to the farms to help grow food and are allowed to either take pay or take food to feed their families. Most of the farms are just inside of the great wall. The wall was built shortly after Ursu had saved the city. It was constructed just in case the great monster or storm came back and Ursu was not able to help. From the ocean two large statues of Ursu’s greatest champions welcome ships into the harbor. The harbor is just as crazy as the markets surrounding the city with many new and unique items brought in from the rest of Straxterra gone within minutes of being unloaded. Once a small town blessed by the redemption of Andor, now one of the largest cities in Straxterra. When Andor finally realized the destruction he had caused he decided to give the town the tools to build. When the city had finally reached the height of its greatness disaster struck when a great storm had brought a monster to attack the town. Ursu, seeing the change that Andor had made, refused to let the city be destroyed and intervened when she drove the storm back out into the ocean and banished the monster. From that day on the rulers of the city decided to name the city Ursu’s Oasis. Many citizens who lived in the city had decided to follow the teaching and morals of Ursu to refrain from using violence and be open to others. Many see Ursu’s Oasis as a small utopia. While the citizens of Ursu’s Oasis welcome outsiders, many outsiders see the citizens of Ursu’s Oasis as stuck up and snobby. While many shrines are dedicated to Ursu, many are also dedicated to Sylva and Andor. For without these three there would be no existence of the city and no room for them to improve upon their great city.
