The Authority of the Crown

After the Great Fall in the year 2561, whatever was left habitable on the Earth was split into 127 kingdoms. Change seemed impossible. The world continued to burn and flood, and the rest of the System seemed out of reach. It seemed as though the end of humanity was approaching. Then, the first True Queen, Dora Forged, stepped up. She declared that there would be one true Crown, the Crown that would oversee and guide all the peoples of the Earth. The Crown that would allow them to fix what had been done to the planet, that would allow them to travel to the other worlds in our System once more, to settle on them and make them a home.   Only 28 of the kingdoms signed her agreement at first. But, under her rule, they began to thrive. By 2570, 104 kingdoms had joined her. Still, this wasn't enough for the unity that would be required to fulfil her vision. Many have speculated on what happened next. Some will also point out how quickly a few of the other kingdoms went through leaders prior to this point as well. Whatever happened, however those kings and queens died, in the end, everyone signed the document declaring the true Authority of the Crown.   All powers were given to Queen Dora Forged. She allowed the various kingdoms beneath her to operate how they saw fit, in most ways, stepping in only when something went against her vision. The authority granted to her allowed her to dispose of those leaders who attempted to break out of her hold. Many called her ruthless. Even more believe that the Earth settling back into a liveable state had less to do with her than she would have allowed anyone to believe. There were already many others who had been working to reach this end. Perhaps she simply took advantage of the instability of the world at the time and took the credit for what was already happening.   The Crown lasted from 2561 to 3236. Though, it could easily be argued that the Crown had lost its power long before it was officially dissolved.
