Anatomy
Kelpies are Shapeshifters, usualy presenting as a grey, wet horse. There are storys of kelpies transforming into women and luring men into the water.
Ecology and Habitats
They live in and near deep rivers and lakes.
Dietary Needs and Habits
A kelpie lures it's prey in and pulls it to the bottom of it's habitat to drown.

Social Structure
Kelpies do not socialize with their own kind, they do not like competition in their territory.
Domestication
Even though they can not truly be domesticated it is possible to force a kelpie to submit, by forcing a bridle over it's head. This is extremly dangerous, since it is a predator.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
Most of the population is thought to live in northern England and Scotland.
