HHB - Pondering characters

I'm thinking that we're gonna work with ye old 5 man band here to begin with. so, the Hero, the Lancer, the Heart, the Smart Guy and the Big Guy. this might not be it forever, but for now it is.
maybe not the five man band. im just gonna write down some ideas for characters instead and we will see where they end up.   Ludwig, maybe? Young necromancer who just wants to help, despite his powers being synonymous with all the horrors of the world.
Fjalar is also definitely here. He used to be a complete charlatan and huckster, selling lies and worthless crap to easily fooled peasants. After the shackling of Aarami, he woke up with actual, real-life magical powers of necromancy. In truth, he had those powers the whole time, they were just kinda weak and hard to spot. Now, Fjalar does the exact same thing as he used to, but for real this time. To him, necromancy is an excellent way to earn money and respect, as he can now get rid of ghouls and ghosts for real, without having to lie about it.   Maybe this is where Vanja shows up? Fledgling magic user who isn't as strong as Ludwig (because she isn't a necromancer), but she does her damnedest. Struggles to overcome her resentment of necromancy and treats Ludwig kinda poorly at first.
Vanja's brother, name WIP, who used to be (and kinda still is) a real, mundane healer. He houses the same bad vibes regarding necromancy as his sister, but he's more open to new things than Vanja.
Vanja is a believer in Lifra and a mundane healer, her brother Rowald is a former gravedigger and current anti-undead crusader. they both travel together, and while Rowald is staunchly anti-necromancy, Vanja secretly believes that maybe embracing it is the key to solving the problems caused by it (she just hasn't found anybody on the other side of the fence who's willing to work it out). Rowald wields a shovel, both as a weapon and tool.   Absolutely 100% a talking skeleton head that someone carries at all times. Wise old man, but really dead. Also, his best friend is like a guardsman or guard captain who lost an arm in the line of duty, and the skull lends him like a ghostly arm that can do weird ghost things, like interact with other ghosts. This is unknown to his colleagues/subordinates because its basically necromancy and very weird. the guardsman is definitely named George Mallory by the way, and he definitely didn't intend to end up with a talking skull for a friend. he probably attempted something like Speak With Dead from D&D, but the ghost in the skull stuck around. the skull seems to be pretty happy with the arrangement, claiming that its way better than being some lost spirit haunting a ruin somewhere. as a talking skull, he gets to keep his personality and sanity for the most part, and thats more than most ghosts can ask for.
Big Guy - This role is going to be filled by the character Ward. Ward is a Custodian, which is basically a ghost trapped in his own corpse trapped in a suit of magical armor. this was never intended to be this way, but now it is. Ward's only real skill is fighting, because everything has more or less eroded away as he becomes less and less living. most of his memories are completely gone, and things like social graces and deep thinking are very foreign to him at this point. he wields a shield and either a hammer or a flail, im not sure yet. either way, the weapon is a symbol of the god of metal. maybe both can be that?
