Geography

Pandora is a terrestrial world known for its captivating geography. Its landscape seamlessly merges elements of tropical islands and an untamed jungle, creating an environment that stands out in the cosmos.   The planet's geography is defined by a vast network of tropical islands, each adorned with dense jungles and towering trees. These islands are surrounded by clear waters that contribute to Pandora's serene and tranquil charm. While the islands dominate the planetary landscape, there are no polar ice caps on Pandora, and the planet maintains a predominantly tropical climate.   Pandora's coastal regions, in contrast to the islands' lush interiors, feature sandy beaches that gently meet the planet's vast oceans. These pristine coastlines add to the overall natural beauty of the planet.

History

Before the Current Era, Pandora remained a world of relative obscurity and minimal interest. It attracted only a select few biologists and scientists who explored its lush jungles and enigmatic temples. During this period, there were no notable colonial efforts, and the planet largely retained its wild and untouched nature.   However, the planet's trajectory changed dramatically during the Dark Ages. Displaced individuals, seeking refuge from the ravages of war, found Pandora an alluring place to build new lives. Its seemingly serene and tranquil tropical beauty offered a respite from the conflicts that had marred other parts of the galaxy.   Scattered across Pandora's jungle islands, there exist relatively peaceful and independent colonies, akin to city-states. These communities primarily focus on self-sufficiency and survival. While they may engage in limited trade among themselves, their primary concern is maintaining their autonomy and thriving within the untamed wilderness. These colonies often harness the planet's rich natural resources to support their inhabitants.   Amidst the lush jungles of Pandora, roaming gangs of mercenaries have established their presence. These groups, driven by the allure of the planet's untamed wilderness and valuable resources, operate as independent entities. They often maintain hidden camps within the jungle, from which they launch expeditions and patrols. These mercenaries are not bound by loyalty to any particular colony and are known for their willingness to provide their services for hire. However, they also frequently resort to intimidation and violence, extorting resources from the independent colonies as they see fit.   In addition to the independent colonies, some regions of Pandora have become home to colonies under the influence and protection of powerful drug cartels. These cartels have established a foothold on the planet, often exploiting its lush vegetation and unique resources for their gain. These colonies are heavily controlled and regulated by the cartels, which ensure their interests are protected through force when necessary.
