Kowak
Geography
Kowak, situated in the Outer Rim Territories, is a tropical planet distinguished by its lush rainforests and extensive oceans. It boasts two polar ice caps, and much of its landmass was once completely covered in dense rainforests. However, significant portions have been cleared for agricultural purposes as the planet has been colonized.
Fauna & Flora
Kowak is the native homeworld of the Kowakian monkey-lizards and Kowakian ape-lizards. Its rainforests are teeming with diverse flora and fauna, including the native Pasol trees.
Natural Resources
Kowak is renowned for its bountiful natural resources, particularly its agricultural wealth. The planet's fertile soil, nourished by frequent rainfall, makes it ideal for cultivating a wide variety of crops, including exotic fruits, spices, and lush vegetables. While some technology, such as basic machinery for clearing, planting, and harvesting, is vital for maximizing crop yields, their operation heavily relies on the labor of enslaved workers who toil tirelessly to meet the empire's demands.
History
Once a pristine and thriving world, Kowak fell under the control of the Zygerrian Slave Empire. The empire exploited the planet's agricultural potential, turning it into a crucial food basket world. The system is designed to extract maximum productivity from the enslaved workforce, often at their expense.
