Lake Silverstep

A beautiful lake on the east end of the Kamelands, Lake Silverstep is the cleanest and clearest source of water between the Kamelands and Kyonin. It is fed by the Gudrin river and smaller rivers from mountains to the north. Legend says the lake was made many ages ago from the footprint of Silverstep, hence its name.
Lake Silverstep has a huge variety of plentiful fish, including its famous Silver Eels. Its gorgeous west bank is home to nettles, cattails, reeds, lillies, and many Fey. Recently, the fishing village of Vesper was established on the west bank.
The north bank is less picturesque, with geothermal activity causing a 3 mile strip of bubbling mud and geothermal vents. The thick, muggy air smells of sulfur and is inhabited by Mud Wretches. The well-preserved corpse of a Taldan captain general from 2 centuries prior was found in the mud.
