Ethindras

The Realm's Leading Superpower

Pre-History

Thousands of years before humans came to Ethindras, the land was dominated by wild orcs and demons. Man had scattered and forced them into harsh and unwanted lands: the swamps of the Shadow Marches, the Demon Wastes, and the depths of the Ironroot Mountains.   But in the Shadow Marches, the orcs learned the secrets of druidic magic, becoming the first of the Gatekeepers. With the invasion of the alien daelkyr from Xoriat, the Gatekeepers were put to the test, creating magical seals that bound the daelkyr deep in the Underdark and shielded Stellarium against further incursion from the plane of madness. But not before they themselves were cursed.   The Orcs were plagued by the incursion and went mad from the knowledge they’d acquired. By sealing Xoriat, they desecrated the land of Ethindras, creating a ruined land of a once prosperous realm.   Fiends preyed on the orcs, demons promising them peace of mind by if they do their bidding. Creating chaos and destruction throughout the land and summoning demons in attempt of freeing the overlords that could free them from their torment.   It was in this catastrophe that man had fled Ethindras, seeking to find a new paradise to call home. But not all have left. Those that remained chose to fight, and fight they had.   Banishing the orcs to another realm, the remaining races managed to secure their future. Where Paradenians fled chasing after gods, the Ethindrians fought for the home that was their rightful promised land.

The Land that Leads the World

Ethindras is the largest continent in Stellarium, followed by Paradenia. In the past it was known for its fertile lands and vast ventures. In today’s time this continent does not have many fertile farmlands and the citizens rely on facilities to grow crops.   The skies are usually cloudy from the fumes of thousands of factories producing magical goods, while several thousand more produces oxygen, and even more use the potency of fumes to grow artificial plants. Ethindras a harsh and cold land that uses every material, every resource to good use. There is no such thing as waste here, only efficiency.

Denizens of the Land

Ethindras is the homeland of Vedalken, Verdan, Shifters, Simics, and Warfoged. It is a continent where humans are the minority. The land of Ethindras is known to be fruitful with dragonshards where Paradenia is bountiful in vegetation. Where Paradenia has multiple nations, Ethindras is as a whole is ruled under a single empire. The Ethindras Empire owning to its gigantic size is delegated into five diverse ecosystems.

All For One, One For All

Disparity is the root of discord, and peace built on that compromise is flawed and fleeting. Happiness for one and all is a dream, and the reality is that to the emperor tells the tale of these stories. Instead of seeking guidance to false gods, Ethindrians will seek succor from their Emperor and his dream.

Their strength comes from their unity as a single empire. Every soul has a role to play, and they play it to perfection for the betterment of the empire. There is no religion in Ethindras. Religion is outright banned, as it promotes diversity. Diversity leads to indifference, indifference leads to disagreements, disagreements lead to strife, and strife leads to discord.

The Ethindras Empire

The current emperor of the Ethindras empire is Emperor Kris Lupis van Rograih. A highly intelligent Vedalken that pushes for his people’s prosperous future. It is very rare to have a summoning to the emperor. In most cases people will be conversing with his right hand; Dorius Alyre ir Korran and his left hand is a warforged known as Aegis and is the leading commander in the Ethindras Imperial Legion.

The World's Greatest Military

The Imperial Legion is forged of the best of the best soldiers that Ethindras has trained. They are known to be the utmost powerful army in Stellarium. There is an often saying that one Imperial soldier is worth three Paladins. Each Legion soldier is covered fully protected in armor and remarkably precise in movements and attacks. Their face is always hidden behind a helmet, hiding not just their face, but the sounds of breath, making it difficult to gauge combat prowess. It is there that the Legion gains their strength.

Dangers of the Land

For such a superpower, there are many dangerous creatures that could only be found in Ethindras. Threats from other plains seem to be attracted to Ethindras, such as extradimensional worms that seek to infect mortal hosts known as the Star Spawn. There are sentient oozes known as Ooblexes are an experiment that went wrong, often absorbing the memories of the people it comes, these creatures take the form of the prey it absorbed, making them indistinguishable from the original.

The Automoton Uprise

A warforged known as the Lord of Blades staged a rebellion against the Emperor for the cruel treatment of constructs. They are at constant fights with the Imperial Legion, and often attacking the reserves.   The warforge does not require food, air or water to live, but the living do. This inner strife cause so much destruction and unrest that the Emporer has allowed his subjects to seek refuge to their neighboring superpower, Paradenia, until the Legion has resolved the situation.
