They are currently in a trade dispute with the Hegemon over their rights to the sole production and distribution of Rigel Silk a valuable industrial and luxury silk woven by altered spiders native to their high UV thin atmosphere jungle world. You can usually tell a Lecta by their thick accent and reddened complexion, typically dressed in calico patterns and rarely with actual Rigel Silk garments.
