Leveling Up Character and your Lancer
The human body at peak condition ultimately is simply not able to compete in the solar system. Factually, you're not built for space, much less to fight, survive, and thrive in this dangerous line of work. It sucks, but for all intents and purposes, you need to get tech, implants and upgrades to advance. Consider humans level 0, You've already got some implants as is. Your Lancer, it's base line, a Tier 1 machine. There are 12 tiers. - Demeter
What does that mean? You're in need of cash.

- Character levels progress by DND 5e rules, however there is no such thing as xp. Instead see the xp table in the 5e rules. Your implant is costs that xp tables/2 (In example your level 2 upgrade costs 150 CC) worth in Celestial Connection Credits aka as Golds per upgrade. Feel free to cross classes, but either way the cost is set by your level and no body can withstand more than 20 of these major upgrades. When you want to level up see Demeter about ordering the implants. She'll set you up with a medical professional at the nearest world or station.
- Lancer upgrades are similarly expensive and go up to 12 tiers. Upgrade costs are equivalent to character levels and require speaking to Pi-tah. They'll handle Demeter and once they get the parts handle instillation. Serious repairs may also cost funds so be mindful.
- Feat chips are considered Low Tier implants. purchasing price is based feat to feat, so speak to Demeter about having them installed. The tend to start out more expensive than levels before quickly becoming cheaper.
- ASI can also be purchased. The lower your ability score the cheaper the upgrade will be.
Remember! All upgrades cross game costs money, so you should consider the opportunity costs of all investments. - Vira
