Ioian - {Gith}

Io was largely spared from the horrors of The First Wave, a smaller colony of largely researchers and chemical mines the volcanic world was simply both on the other side of Jupiter and uninteresting to the Swarm. Their world however has outsize political importance as a world of philosophers and philanthropy. With the unused resources it spent the entire event saving lives. Taking in refugees from the now ruined moon of Callisto, once a large industrial world, an being considered a paradise for the [Children of Infected  whom are treated humanly. historically unwarlike, science and philosophy, and moral living are considered key on Io and the moon is ruled by a council of leading philosophers and scientists
The sulfur heavy atmosphere has mad Ioian's more yellowed in skintone, famed for their tall lanky appearance due to low gravity. Many have less hair and mild deformity from the nature of space and radiation from Jupiter.

• Size. Ioian are taller and leaner than humans, with most a slender 6 feet in height. Your size is Medium.
• Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
• Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Ioian

Though over the years and largely only cultural Ioians from Io and ioians descendant of Callisto refugees are different Original ioians

• Mental Discipline. You have advantage on saving throws against the charmed and frightened conditions. Under the tutelage of monastic masters, githzerai learn to govern their own minds.
• Universal String Manipulation Training. You know the Mage Hand cantrip, and the hand is invisible when you cast the cantrip with this trait.
• When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the Shield spell once with this trait, and you regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the Detect Thoughts spell once with this trait, and you regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest.
• Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for these spells. When you cast them with this trait, they don't require components.

Callisto Refugees - Considered fully ioian the refugees from Callisto carry a cultural memory of the war and a love of Io as their saviors.

• Universal Advanced Education. You learn one language of your choice, and you are proficient with one skill or tool of your choice.
• Martial Cultural history. You have not forgotten Callisto and will not let it happen to Io You are proficient with light and medium armor and with all bladed weapons.
• Universal String Manipulation Training. You know the Mage Hand cantrip, and the hand is invisible when you cast the cantrip with this trait.
• When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the Jump spell once with this trait, and you regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the Misty Step spell once with this trait, and you regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest.
