This shield-based movement system allows spacecraft to perform tight, responsive manoeuvres in combat. Rather than relying solely on engine thrust, it manipulates local physics to provide unparalleled agility and precise speed control in three-dimensional space.

Summary

Effect: Allows the ship to move up to 100 yards per round (roughly 50 yards per second), regardless of inertia or local gravity. This system enables complex dogfighting, quick turns, lateral bursts, and evasive flight in tight spaces.

 

Additional Properties

  • Attached: This system is linked to Shields - Armour and cannot function if the shield envelope is offline.
  • Booster x1 (Speed): Elevates base movement from 10 yards to 100 yards per round at 3 HD.
  • No Physics: Allows for instantaneous directional changes, reversals, and movements unbound by traditional thrust or momentum.
  • Autonomous: If the pilot is incapacitated, the ship can still stabilise or return to safety using preprogrammed protocols. Ideal for fighter recovery and crash prevention.
  • Focus: Part of the ship’s shield matrix. Not an innate power or engine-based thrust system.
  • Bulky: Non-modular. Cannot be transferred between ships without full integration.
