Summary

Type: Fighter-Class Weapon
Damage & Qualities: Width+5 in Shock+Kill (Scale 1, Penetration 3, Ranged (Reduced Capacity 1))
A devastating direct-fire weapon, the Heavy Cannon is favoured by Heavy Fighters and elite mercenary Aces who trade speed for devastating power. Its slow rate of fire is offset by its overwhelming impact—once an enemy’s shield frequency is scanned, a single strike can end an engagement before it begins.
This model is military-grade hardware, rarely seen outside well-connected fleets or elite mercenary groups. It demands significant mechanical upkeep and power infrastructure, but any veteran pilot will tell you: if you can get one, you take it.

Space Combat Adaptation

In the chaos of a fighter engagement, the Heavy Cannon serves as a blunt instrument of authority. Every Ace wants one, and every enemy dreads its retort. When timed with precision and paired with accurate scan data, this weapon can tear through fighters or even punch through hardened components on larger ships. Its slow rate of fire demands discipline, but the payoff is enormous. In the hands of a professional, it's a duelling hammer that can end a fight in one blow.
