Lady Brightlight
Lady Brightlight, also known as 'The Lady of Life and Light' or 'The Angel-Queen' was the Gorian goddess of life and light. Her dogma centers mostly around balancing morals and emotions, facing strife with perseverance. For a period of time after the slaying of the ancient greatwyrm known as 'Aeterna, the Everhungering' and her divine ascension, Lady Brighlight held court on the Crumblecliff in the capital city of Everton. Here, she dedicated her efforts solely to creating a utopia for creatures from every region of the wind. These actions garnered a massive support for her cause and secured her the power to become one of the Maius.
Divine Appearance
Like many of the Gorian gods Lady Brighlight wanders the lands in mortal flesh, though she is certainly the most present and involved of them. Her divine appearance is that of a female Human not much larger than 5 feet in height. Six large wings sprout from her back and wreathe her in the golden light of the heavens. Her skin appears bronze in the same lustrous ways as that of celestials is said to be, and her well-shaped face is contoured by long flowing golden hair that reaches down to her ankles. Usually, she is seen wearing simple, yet stylish robes or tunics and wears her long hair in a single long braid. Sometimes, she is seen wearing platemail with white and azure blue decorations on them. However, when peering beyond all the heavenly glamour most people would describe her appearance as a stupidly beautiful, yet typical Gorian farmer with six ridiculously large wings sprouting from her back. Lady Brightlight also carries two signature weapons with her. These are Zuriël, a beautiful longsword with a fiery orange sheen and Thunderfang a 6-foot long greatsword that crackles with lightning.
The Radiant Crusade
Decades before the events of "The Reckoning", Lady Brighlight learned of the danger that was to come. In order to prepare the world for the eventual invasion of Thá, Lord of Thálassa, the second layer of Kitcraa, she forged an alliance between the gods of Gorian known as 'The Summit of the Rose' and erected the 'Ordo Lucis' to prepare and arm a force of well trained and courageous mortals, supernatural beings and gods. When in the year 1377 A.S. the gates to Kitcraa finally opened and tears in the very fabric of the planes appeared, Lady Brighlight called all of her allies, devotees and bannermen to arms under what is now known as 'The Radiant Crusade.' Over the span of a decade, the invasion from Kitcraa was fought off by the Alliance of Silver Roses and eventually the state of the world returned to relative peace in the wake of the alliance's succesful efforts. However, since the events of the Reckoning left their marks on the world, small scale incursions from the realms of Kitcraa and Dt'Biaw do sometimes occur. Whenever this happens, devotees from the alliance or those who were inspired by the original Radiant Crusade, ride out to carry on the fight and banish any abberations, fiends or undead that might seek to harm the health of the world.
