Spartan

Spartans are both a species and a belief. Joint efforts by Borians and Humans to make improvements to their resilience resulted in a separate species. The resulting species began to self-identify, and claimed it's place within Sol System through the use of arms. While soon fracturing, Spartan ideals of self-improvement through combat collected followers. Access to vast technology provided ability to continually enhance. No one is born a Spartan, but instead chooses to undergo physical enhancement.

Aggressive, violent, and quick to anger, a group of Spartans can empty a bar in minutes. Add in their love of heavy drinking and the sheer joy they get from combat, it’s easy to see why Spartans are not the most popular of species.

Physical Attributes: Each Spartan is adapted the species of their birth into a uniquely-modified individual. As such, they are far more varied than all other species combined. One individual may tower over Ogron, with armored scales and bulging muscles. Another may be shorter than a Borian, with 4 dexterous arms and a ring of eyes around their head. No attribute is too outlandish in the name of self-improvement.

Spartan naming conventions are based on the Species of origin, often in reference to relevant mythology.

Designs: designed with battle in mind, Spartan gear is rugged and durable. Expect excess bulk of varying hardness, enough to ensure it keeps working forever.
