The sudden death of King Traback and the murder of his entire family ended the royal line of the River Kingdom. It also began a period internal strife, suspicion, and conflict between the noble families who now had no arbiter to their age old grudges and aggression to one another. And with the assassins who killed the royal family at large, the perfect excuse was handed to the noble houses on a silver platter.
History of the River Kingdom
A nation made of people from many different creeds who have formed a coalition to benefit the region as a whole. Run by a number of noble houses, the River Kingdom while not the most organized has kept stability in the regions for centuries because of their bond.

Tyman-Mivani War
Military actionWithout the leadership of the Traback royal family. The tensions between House Mivani and House Tyman grew to a violent boil. Both sides had begun to fortify their lands with defensive structures and building their armies. But it was House Tyman, unhappy with their secretive northern neighbors, and rumors about of their dark practices and magics, who launched the first strike against the elven nobles. The conflict lasted a few years with hundreds of minor skirmishes across Mivani territories. However it never amounted to anything major aside from the lives lost. House Tyman were the ones who sued for peace, upon which the Mivani easily accepted. The conflict was never very impressive, and is mostly seen as a footnote in history. However the people of the Tyman territories who returned from war came home scarred and with stories of the terrifying things they saw in the Mivani territories.

Founding of the New Arcane Order
FoundingWith the blessing of Luiki, the head of House Holden and his close cousin, Zadinar Holden founded the New Arcane Order. An organization dedicated to helping the world recover from the wounds of the Chaos War, aiding help to those in need, and destroying the last vestiges of Old Magic which do more harm then good. The order has pioneers their own fighting style, created with the expressed purpose of fighting rogue casters and slayer monstrous creatures. While not directly affiliated with others followers of @vLestari, they do follow her teachings very closely. So much so many people associate the order as a branch of her church.
