Dwarf
Industrial Stubbornness
Industrious, headstrong, and willful. Dwarves are a long-lived race that group together in close-knit social groups. Nothing is more loyal than a Dwarf who becomes attached to a group or cause. No matter what walk of life, a Dwarf is drawn to build in some form or fashion. To push forward in life and carve something out of life that will stand the test of time. Not necessarily stubborn but defiantly persistent in their ideas and work. Locking a craft in their head and holding onto it, push to perfect it for decades until finding satisfaction with themselves.Motivated Challenge Seekers
Something that burns deeply in each of them is the desire to better themselves. To prove to others and themselves that they can surmount the next trial. Though some peoples see this as Dwarven foolhardiness, Dwarves don't simply jump into any challenge that happens across their way. They will observe it, consider the possibilities, mentally note where they could fail, take a drink, and decide whether or not to take on the challenge today or tomorrow. They might set aside a task or trial they don't see themselves ready to face, but they will never, ever, forget about. You can count on a Dwarf coming back to finish something they have locked eyes onto.Biological Traits
Dwarves are a short humanoid race at 4' 5'' to 4' 8'' with blocky heads. Though compact, they are a fairly strong race with muscles packed into their smaller frames. They are also quite hairy. Some more than others, but you will be hard pressed to find a hairless Dwarf. Though their hands are hardy, they have an unusual tenderness and dexterity which allows them to excel in their crafty nature. As Dwarves get older they tend to bulk up. Not in a heavy set way but in an actual strength way. Their bodies don't start deteriorating until they start going into their final few years of life. The change from strong to weakened is so drastic it is fairly easy to spot if a Dwarf is turning in years. They reproduce normally for mammals, although the mother typically carries their child for 11 months before it is time for the birth. They reach adolescents at the age of 15, during that time they are raised closely by their parents. While usual for a Dwarf to leave their parent's home after age 15. They aren't fully considered an adult until the age of 35. They can be up to 250 years old. Dwarves are a stationary race. They pick a spot and they make it their own. While their can "nest" almost anywhere, they prefer fortifiable areas and terrain since they usually don't make plans to move. Because of this, they tend to build into mountains, or hills if it is a smaller community. Dwarven influence on the land is usually hard to spot as they tend to dig into the ground.Civilization and Culture

Clan Names are given to Dwarves dependent on which of the 6 clans they are born or raised into. Gender Ideals
Dwarves have a strangely narrow yet open outlook on gender. When it concerns jobs, social standings, and rights everyone is treated as equals. No one is barred from doing what they want or what they are good at because of their gender. However, there is a natural racial pride in a dwarves' gender. Seeing acceptable public nudity, like in bathhouses, as a chance to flaunt themselves. They willingly embrace others culture's gender norms to show their security in their own regardless of personal tradition. So when someone doesn't embrace their culture's gender norms, they are looked in a negative, but mostly confused, way.
