Sylvanmere Forest

The Sylvanmere Forest is a vast, ancient woodland that sprawls across the heart of Solentia. Dense with towering elder-trees, luminous moss, and gnarled roots, the forest is as beautiful as it is forbidding. Travelers speak of the way sound is swallowed beneath its canopy—how footsteps vanish, birds fall silent, and even prayers feel unanswered. Locals claim the Sylvanmere is alive in a way no other place is, watching and remembering, its moods shifting with unseen tides.

Despite its dangers, the Sylvanmere is a place of immense value. It is home to flora found nowhere else in the empire: bloodsap trees, whisperwillow, ghost orchids, and healing fungi that glow in the dark. Monasteries on the forest’s edge, like those in Zellhara, devote their lives to gathering, cultivating, and studying these rare plants—some for medicine, others for tightly-regulated magical use. Hidden within the forest are ruins of old faiths and older things still, long buried beneath vine and stone.
