Korvin
Built atop a cluster of basalt hills, its skyline is dominated by the Sanctum Pyra, the grand cathedral-fortress that serves as both royal palace and seat of the Cardinal of Korvin. At its center burns the First Flame, a sacred pyre said to have burned since the founding of the Empire, guarded day and night by silent monks and watched over by the Crimson Order.
The city is a place of ritual and stone. Black brick roads wind through shadowed districts lined with narrow houses, each marked with a flame-sigil to show loyalty to the Church. Smoke drifts from incense burners and forge chimneys alike, giving the air a bitter, metallic weight. Processions of Flamebound mages move under heavy guard, while penitents crawl on their knees through the Ashway, a sacred path of soot and cinders leading to the Sanctum gates.
