Andronine

Andronine is a synthetic hormone that is chemically similar to testosterone, and is used by the Kibari species for reproduction purposes. It is produced in the form of a hormone supplement and is taken orally by Kibari females to induce fertilization through a process called parthenogenesis. Andronine is not known to be naturally occurring.   The typical posology for andronine is one tablet per day, taken at the same time each day. It is most effective when taken consistently over a period of several weeks, although individual results may vary.   Common side effects may include nausea, dizziness, and mood changes.   In terms of chemical structure, andronine is composed of a steroid ring structure with a hydroxyl group at the 3-position, and an alkyl group at the 17-position. It is synthesized using a variety of chemical reactions, including the reaction of cholesterol with an enzyme called steroid 5-alpha-reductase.
