Personal history
He's the third son of a relatively minor baron. As far as to'ra society is concerned he's a nobody. Kinyairi didn't want to chose her husband and consort from among the more self-important members of the nobility, feeling that they wouldn't be as willing to let her rule as tradition dictated. Against her mother's wishes she went out on her own, touring the manor houses of the lesser nobles until she found Talenkith. After spending some time speaking with him she felt that he would make an excellent consort. His lands were wealthy, his family were loyal and abided by the traditions of their ancestors, and he was reasonably attractive. The details were worked out and the two were married within a year.
They were married for three years when Andalrien was born.
The two have developed a fondness for each other. Neither one would say with any certainty that they love the other, but they've grown fond of each other and are content with their arrangement.

When the war broke out with the Dorensha Jelushadaar, he feared for his daughter's safety. At that time, she had been the Air Guardian for several years and was more than capable of handling herself in battle. Even so, he watched the enemy's movements carefully. When it became apparent that they were taking the crystallized powers of the sehashi, he feared the worst. As the fighting drew closer and closer to Kinshei he panicked. In secret, he cast a protective spell over his daughter that would prevent the enemy warrior known as Dishanon from removing this essence from her.
