Central Colony Office

The CCO was the first building to be built during the process of colonization. The United Alliance of Earth wanted each colony to start the same in order to streamline the construction and establishment process. The CCO was designed to be adaptable to what the colony would need as well as be functional.   Many are small sites to visit and some have even gone to try and visit them all.

Purpose / Function

It's original purpose was to create a safe location for the colony to begin while having everything they could need during a crisis. Services such as housing, food storage, electricity generation, water purification, defense systems, global surveyor, and those are just but a few take it can perform.   In the colonization process, this build was the first to be built. Once it was established the survivability of the colony increased by 38%. However it did have a lifespan. It could only sustain a colony for about one Earth year before either repairs or additional buildings would be required to maintain it's functions. It was recommended to immediately build supporting services and structures to supplementĀ the resources it uses. This can increase it's lifespan. The current record has been five years before one would give out.

Alterations

As time went on a colony would eventually grow out of the CCO. Maybe would establish new locations and buildings to suit their needs leaving the original CCO abandoned. The United Colonization Effort decided to retrofit them into something different for historical sake as well as to help the colony itself. The new design would allow for their cultural heritage to remain. New features such as an archive, communication center, and tourism wing were added to give them some needed functionality.
