Hysteria 24: "We'll Never Be Alone Again"

General Summary

Waking at the Vanguard Strategic Compound, Hinata comforts Clodia. In the SVG war room, Aries reveals Ruben has been captured for ransom. Despite protests from Gabriel, Silia authorizes a rescue at Clodia's urging; Hinata volunteers along with Mitsuru and Louise to fly on the mission, while Niko sits out due to a workplace injury.
Taking a mech to a Kusanagi blacksite outside the city, Hinata flashes back in time to see glimpses of Tak and Torsten, skipping most of the mission. With Ruben secured, the party returns through the Rift only to find that the Countess of California Renée Farron has seized the SVG's facilities and apprehended the Temporavox fragment. Confronting Hinata, she promises the fragment will be used for the Ecliptic Order, of which she is a devout follower.
The shuttle holding the Temporavox fragment explodes mid-air, and Clodia admits to falling back on her old hacker ways to solve the problem. Royal forces depart the SVG base, and Kusanagi forces throughout the system are defeated. With the conflict resolved and the real Temporavox growing back inside Hinata's head, the future is unclear. Back at home, Hinata practices with the band and celebrates his sister's birthday.
