Hermin
Hermin is a language that combines the tongue of the historical tribes of Herriland with the language of the Iustulian Empire. The language has survived through the ages, it's current use being tied primarily to the worship of Viserinm.
History
During the occupation of the Iustulian Empire, many of the customs and cultures of the Herlish tribes merged with those of the Iustulians. Some Iustulians began to worship Herlish gods, the rituals and ways of worship combining with their own. This included the language spoken by the tribes, which was shaped and adapted by the worship in these new mixed communities of Herls and Iustulians. This combination of the two tongues would later be known as Hermin. Since the occupation of the the Iustulian Empire, Hermin hasn't changed much due to its infrequent use in regular conversations, and the dominance of arvumin over the herlyc based languages.Common Misconceptions
"It is often believed that our modern day Herlish originated from Hermin or herlyc, but that is not the case at all. The language we speak today is a mix of many different historical visellumian languages, most prominantly Arvumin and Buramic languages. And while parts of herlyc have affected modern day Herlish, it is by no means the origin of our language."
