Personal history

Crow Rook Wilson had always wanted to become an actor. From a young age, they would create plays and convince their siblings to perform with them, and continued this as they got older, despite both their siblings and parents losing interest. As a young adult, they looked for a career within theatre, auditioning for several performances, all of which they were turned down for. They then applied for many of the theatrical academies, hoping for a scholarship. They presented all of their most polished work, but was still turned down.   At 19, they overheard a conversation in an alley, one about demons. Crow Rook was curious, having always had a slight morbidity to them, so they followed the two people to a house. Working up the courage, they knocked on door, saying that they wished to learn of demons. The man at the door was suspicious at first, interrogating Crow Rook, but when he saw that this really was just a curious person, he let them in.   Crow Rook became a member of the Order of the Nisurach Circle that very night, after witnessing a ritual for Kurisichul. The other order members explained the lore of the demons while they listened intently. Crow Rook became close to these members, confiding with them a lot of things they were too scared to talk about with others. The members helped Crow Rook, and they often helped back. One day, when they talked to one of the friends they made in the Order, venting about the lack of success with their acting and writing, a higher member overheard, and offered to put them in contact with actors within the Order. Crow Rook agreed immediately, having been given the first bit of hope in months. They were suprised to find that some of the big acting names in Starfell were members of the Order, and even met a few of their idols. These actors were very supportive to Crow Rook, helping them improve their skills at writing and acting, and even performing togather privately for members of the Order. Crow Rook Wilson felt that they had found a home within the order.   However, when the The War on Darkness became overwhelming for the Order, those same members told Crow Rook to abandon the order as they had not been in it for long, and no one suspected anything occult about them yet. Although they didn't want to leave their found family behind, they followed this advice, and only wathced on as their friends were found and executed.   After the conflict, Crow Rook no longer wanted to continue their acting career with standard theatres. They were disgusted by the rules set in place by the church, and had no intention of acting in religious plays about how evil the demons were. But that was when they had an idea, if they could write these plays, they could add subtle messages, subtle feelings so that members of the audience might become more sympathic towards the demons, or at the very least desensitized. And so, 3 years after the War on Darkness, the The Harrowers Troupe was born.   The Troupe consisted of mostly vampires, and a few old order members that had escaped. Crow Rook Wilson's plays focused more on the demons than the Lightbearer and her Saints, and were often much darker, which made them and the troupe quite popular, as they offered the only real variety in the entertainment side of Starfell. When the restrictions were lifted, Crow Rook branched out, reimagining old folk stories, or creating dark new ones. Despite their excentricies, the Harrowers remained loved by a significant amount of Fellians.   As time went by, Crow Rook became more aware of their own mortality, and, afraid of their acting ablities being comprimised, they asked one of their vampiric friends in the troupe to turn them. However, this later caused trouble for them. A few people had noticed that as time went by, they kept the appearance of a 35 year old. A particually spiteful one of these people hired some vampire hunters to go and investigate. Later, they confiremed that Crow Rook was a turned vampire, and at the end of their last show, they arrested them.   As Crow Rook was not a born vampire, they gave them a choice, to live locked away in an asylum, or to be exected. Crow Rook felt that this was the end, and happy with what they had achieved in their life, they chose death.
An actor needs a dramatic death, and what is more dramatic than a tragic execution?
— Crow Rook to the vampire Hunters.
On the day of their execution, they read the poem that they often read out at the start of their plays, but some of the words had been changed so the poem sounded like a farewell rather than a call for people to listen. They then bowed, and were stabbed through the heart with the hunter's wooden stake.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Crow Rook's priorities were to live out their life as a performer, and put on shows that capitivated thier audience, but also densensitised them to the demonic. As a previous member of the order before the War on Darkness, they wanted to show the more sympathetic side to Nisurachul and the demons, and although they still had to keep the message still clear that the demons were terrible beings, they still managed to portray a side that had never been shown.
