The Wandering Star

The Wandering Star is a celestial object that appeared in the skies of Starbournem in 2083. The following is an overview of information gathered regarding the star:
A githyanki named Shamith aboard The Kren'Sar had some interest in the star and possessed a number of star charts tracking its movements.
Through the work of Chittering Elva, it was predicted that the star would fall directly upon Lirimidium on the 20th, The Melting, 2083EC.
The Star could inflict some kind of Charm effect upon those who viewed it. This is possibly the reason that the festival of Starfall Revelry became so popular.
The Wandering Star and the object that fell to tezca in 163BEC, creating Star Crater, are in some way the same object.
The Custodian wanted to open the Orb (previously moved here from Star Crater) held by the idol (giant statue) of Lirimidium. The effect this would have had on the Wandering Star is unknown. 
Molinth Ketrinn advised destroying the Orb, until he was possessed by Nizus the Fiend. Nizus decided to go along with the Custodian's plan.
Lord Pedrin Khurst Akinlor and Lady Avrethi Akinlor did not want anyone to interfere with the Orb, claiming it would interfere with their plans for the Wandering Star. The Akinlorian's have a secret base deep in Lirimidium near the other hand of the idol. This hand of the idol is depicted as wearing a serpent ring. The base is accessed via a magical gate that links three locations through a nexus.
Xarkon the Lich is opposed to whatever the Akinlorians are doing and was spying on them through one of the nexus gates. Through Kardeplak Keshuul, the crew of the Kren'Sar were hired to distract Xarkon.
