Mothligra

The group discusses their recent D&D session where they stopped a singer named Zubrick from performing, fought and defeated Horizon, and then reanimated Horizon's corpse. They debated killing Horizon but ultimately did so. The reanimated corpse of Horizon was made to look arrested and left in Horizon's room. The spell to reanimate the corpse lasts 24 hours, after which it will become a hostile zombie unless the spell is recast. The party is currently in a casino in a city called The Glamourous Gathering, having just finished a long rest.   Discussing Next Steps Over Breakfast   The group meets for breakfast to discuss their next steps. Mr. Zunn introduces his new owl companion, named Earwicker, claiming it's a pet from his family of aviary enthusiasts. The others are suspicious of this explanation. Neb is feeling hungover and miserable after drinking heavily the night before. Aria mentions she comforted Neb during the night, which Neb doesn't remember. The group also discusses their various "guests" - the owl, the zombie, and the entity possessing Neb. They are now deciding what to do next over breakfast at the casino.   Handing Over Undead Horizon to Authorities   The group discusses their plan to hand over the undead Horizon to the authorities. They decide to tell the truth that Horizon reanimated himself after they killed him. They also realised he is now an undead being that needs to be burned to be properly executed. Nemo and Neb, will explain the situation to the guards when they arrive around noon. The group also debates going to the Fey realm next, though some express concerns about the risks. Before the guards arrive, Stewie wants to find a magic shop to identify some magical items they've acquired. The group has about an hour before the authorities are expected to arrive at the casino to collect Horizon.   Identifying Magical Items at Spiral Vortex   The group visits a magic shop called the Spiral Vortex to identify some magical items they have acquired. After some negotiation, the shopkeeper Matilda agrees to identify four items for 60 gold. The items are revealed to be an elemental shield that can produce stone, water or wind effects; a mace that can deal fire, lightning or acid damage; and a set of "double or nothing" dice that grant luck points when rolled. When Aria asks Matilda to identify a mysterious opal rock, the shopkeeper becomes confused and distressed, seemingly infected with knowledge about "Uncle Pally Wal". The group realizes they have inadvertently spread this dangerous knowledge and decide they need to travel north to the Feywild to resolve the situation.   Gold Bar Exchange Negotiation   The group exchanges seven gold bars at the Exchange for 480 gold pieces each, with Stewie keeping one bar for himself. Each member receives 64 platinum pieces (equivalent to 640 gold), while Stewie gets his gold bar plus 160 gold pieces. The negotiation process involves some tension and attempts at intimidation, but ultimately results in a favorable deal for the group. They are now significantly wealthier, with some members jokingly suggesting visiting a casino to gamble their newfound wealth.   Handling the Dead Body Situation   The group discusses how to handle the situation with the dead body they have, as they expect the authorities to arrive soon. They debate various explanations, including claiming self-defense, saying he killed himself, or that he became undead. Nemo advises the others to stay quiet and let him do the talking. The group remember that the target was wanted dead or alive, and that there were witnesses to the public fight, which could support a self-defense claim.   Palace Trap: Torzana's Opal Demand   The group arrives at the palace of the College of Ivied Shrines after going through a portal created by Torzana Springaze. They are led to a subterranean throne room where Torzana demands they give her the opal that was inside Horizon, claiming she has had the voices of the Playpen entities in her head for days. Several familiar figures emerge from the shadows, including Hartfell, Brock the highwayman, Eddie the Sage, Hadvar, Jonah Ranger, and Louis the Puppet The situation appears to be a trap rather than the medal ceremony the group was expecting.   Summoning Mega Pally Wal   The group hands over the opal to Torzana, who uses it to summon a giant monstrous version of Pally Wal in the town. Chaos ensues as the bear emerges and starts destroying things. The party helps evacuate townspeople onto a flying tower that arrives, belonging to Grodon Greaves a former colleague of Branqo and Phemia, managing to save many of the NPCs they had interacted with previously, except for Eddie the Sage and Hardvar. As they escape on the tower, they see the town being destroyed by the bear creature below.   Deciding Next Steps After Calamity   The group discusses their next steps after recent calamitous events in Sucubris, Magma Urbs and Admontem Pass - all settlements which know have giant versions of the Playpen entities. They debate whether to head north to confront the danger or south to potentially access the Feywild. Aria suggests they need to recuperate and read an important book to get ahead of their adversaries for once. The group also ponders cryptic phrases about servants in the skies and souls in the seas, wondering if they relate to birds, fish, or other entities. They decide to go read the book to gain more information before taking further action.   Starbornham's History and Current Threats   The group discusses the history of Starbornem, a planet created from part of a dead god from the far realm. They learn about ancient wars between crystallized beings, far formed (lifeforms carried over from te Far Realm), and drow, which led to a catastrophic event that wiped out most life on the planet. The discussion then turns to the current threat of powerful entities known as Uncle, Shepherd and Bang Bang which manifest in areas of great atrocity. Gordon suggests that to defeat these entities, the group may need to travel to the planet's core where the source of their power lies. They also learn about an approaching red moon, which is attracted to the chaos caused by these entities. Gordon advises possibly seeking help from the leader of Rejuva and individual named Tankard who possesses the means to build a machine to reach the planet's core, while also discussing the possibility of weakening the entities by destroying their avatars in the Feywild.   Arriving in the South of Sylvasker Circle of Decay   The group discusses their next steps in addressing the threat to Sylvasker. They decide to meet with Tankard to get a timeline for building a machine to reach the centre of the planet. In the meantime, they plan to speak to as many people in South Sylvasker as possible to call them to action to protect their own interests. The session ends with the group arriving at the Circle of Decay encampment, where Aria confronts her father, who has undergone some physical modifications.
