Lore! What is it good for? A whole lot tbh

As the party begins to leave Hartfell’s office, Neb is hit by an energetic green orb and falls unconscious. Edwin is informed that she is “Off to see Mr Bang Bang”. The party leave her to recover in Hartfell’s office.   Before the party exits the bookshop above Hartfell’s Office, The Interloper buys a book on Patvolar Halfblood, a former Grand Councillor of The Enclave of the North – the only Half-Elf to ever hold the office, as well as the only person to come from the Freeholds, Sylvasker specifically, to ascend to the position. The book detailed Patvolar’s tenure as Grand Councillor, certain milestones like allowing Minotaur's inclusion in The Enclave of the North in the fifth year of the Blink, creating the Given Land as a home for refugees from the South. Patvolar died before he ever saw the end of The Blink and was particularly unpopular in the Orleath Empire at the time of his death, however with hindsight he is now widely credited for saving thousands of people, both of The Empire and not, during the greatest crisis the world has encountered. The book also notes that his predecessor, Pedrir Rechkit, was also assassinated, however, the link between them – besides both serving on the Enclave council for a period of time -- remains unknown.   The group also purchases a book on the history of Mantle’s Pieces. The chain of toy-making workshops, which is owned by the Mantle family. The largest toy shop was in Magmare Urbs. It closed about 6 years ago. The shop was converted into the Dream Curtain Theatre. The party purchases mules to travel out of town. The group is attacked by ankhegs – but they manage to defeat them.   Eventually, the party begins to approach a small sandstone shack. The party notices a primitive trap outside the front door of the shack. They manage avoid the trap but in doing so encounter a group of children who appear to be living in the wild. They threaten the PCS asking for gold, and in conversation reveal the name of their leader “Big Jack”, a 15 year-old, which is probably older than the rest of the children. They also reveal that they are from an Orphanage that burnt down. The group then murders them all, erm sorry, I mean gives them a small amount of gold for access to the shack.     Inside the shack, the PCS finds an access way down into a dungeon. The group unsuccessfully navigates their way down a broken staircase with several members taking a nasty fall, however STU heals them. They also manage to navigate through several puzzle rooms. Eventually, the group reaches what appears to be the bottom of the dungeon. They find several skeletons which look humanoid but exotic, one seems to have several eye holes on parts of the body which don’t usually have eye holes, another is clutching a Drow holy symbol. Sat on a stone throne is a skeleton, the structure of which The Interloper recognises as Githyanki. They skeleton is clutching a journal. Behind the throne, on the wall, the group found many detailed murals and scrawled notes written in archaic Elven. Together the group does manage to depict what the murals are trying to convey:   The planet Starbournem is shown crashing into the universe from a far away realm, it slowly evolves into a land of red crystals with strange looking humanoid creatures living on it. They then show the Githyanki arriving from far away and carving out settlements for themselves. The murals then show more visitors – Drow and Elves from beyond the veil, they also begin altering the planet to settle. Then war breaks out as the different settlers clash. A devastating weapon is constructed which destroys the northern hemisphere. Any civilizations left either emigrate south or leave the planet. Then the murals show the Gods tending to the planet, terraforming it, creating the sun, flooding the planet with water and constructing trees, creating a more stable moon. Slowly life returns to the North, but the centre of the planet there is a blackness. An evil. We see that this mark is erratic, leaving and returning the planet at different times, seemingly being able to move through the fourth dimension. The Interloper reads the Journal from the Githyanki – it details the life of Jar’rei, a Githyanki Warlord who had conquered this Drow dungeon moments before the weapon destroyed everything. The last page read “Last night I was visited by an entity called “Uncle” in my dreams. He said he was visiting anyone who was left alive on the planet – for their hatred, anger and fear had granted him and his friends life”.   SESSION END – The Group still has to find Hartfell’s dagger which was down here somewhere and we almost forgot (including me).
