02 - Contracts
General Summary
Judgement spoke with Sindril Helviarn about the amulet attached to his arm. Sindril said that she needed to speak to the captain about something. Judge <3 Sindril.
Erchyll was visited by cloaked figures and given some kind of contract.
Watcher searched through Shamith's room. Watcher found star charts which seemed to follow a particular celestial object that was moving through the sky. Watcher also found a note.
Mitch held a vote for the new captain. An elf named Urklin stood in opposition and accused the away party of killing Tantos Zendica. Erchyll 'suggested' he stand down, and a mutiny was avoided.
Mitch entered the captains cabin, found 12,000 gold, some fancy pirate clothes and a full booze cabinet.
The Kren'Sar docked at Lirimidium. The crew went to The Ashen Lady to inquire about Kardeplak Kashuul. After gaining little information, they went to the Post and pinned a notice stating their success in retrieving the amulet. Watcher turned undead and caused general chaos. Mitch posted a job vacancy for Botswain on the Kren'Sar. Erchyll perused the notes pinned to the Post, finding various job vacancies, an advertisement for a shop which raises pets after death and a note looking for a lost undead cat.
Around this time(?) the crew split to do some shopping, visiting some market stalls and an alchemist (Erchyll's imp drank a sulfur compound here, not ammonia - I thought ammonia was the one that smelled like rotten eggs. I'd rather retcon this here than make it lore that the entire fiendish domain smells like cat piss.) while Watcher returned to their previous home, Professor Branqo's Observatory. The building was empty and abandoned and Watcher was unable to break through the metal bars sealing the observatory itself.
Watcher found a way to activate his alternate power core, but could not do so without de-activating his current core.
After returning to The Ashen Lady, an undead messenger delivered a note to the crew from Kardeplak. It requested a single individual meet him with the amulet.
Mitch went to the meeting, shadowed by the rest of the crew. After some conflict with the Tiefling, Kardeplak agreed that him and his associates would be willing to pay the crew half of the agreed price since they completed half of the job. Any consequences would now be the crew's problem.
The crew returned to The Ashen Lady for the evening. Erchyll was amazed at the size of the room. Judge had a dream of being chased from a village, trapping the door to the hut with a rune and fleeing through a back entrance clutching a bag of skulls.
Finally, from their attic room, Watcher noticed a disturbance in the night. There were shouts from somewhere deeper in the city and he saw guards making their way through the streets towards the noise.
