Ingrid Lives! (8/10/2020)

General Summary

Pushing down the hallways, the party worked together to protect each other from the infected at the end of the hallways. The battle with the infected didn't last longer to your superior abilities. However, the victory was short-lived when the large tar-like creature squeezed through the ventilation system. It engaged and the threat was far greater than that of the infected. D0-K was the first to get grabbed by the creature. It started to melt through his chassis before Nuvo tugged him free of the creature's amorphous figure.
The cryo ammo that you picked up from 79's was a blessing. Each shot seemed to harm the creature twice as much as regular blaster bolts. However, the intelligence of the creature became even more apparent. The focus of his attention shifted to Jaro, who had been firing the cryo shots. The creature climbed onto the ceiling and dropped onto Kalla. Kalla got trapped inside the ooze before Rhena managed to free him with a well-placed force push. He did a great deal of damage to Jaro with a few swipes before grappling him and pulling him inside. Jaro's life started to fade. 
At this moment, Jaro gambled with his life and started shooting the creature from the inside - knowing full well he couldn't pull himself free. Once Jaro discharged his weapon, the creature froze solid. After a few moments of deliberation, Fergust pulled Jaro free from the ice. The creature had been defeated and what remained of the infected ceased to be. All the animated tar seemed to lay dormant on the floor of the ship.
Reaching the back of the ship, you quickly found the remaining members of the Pale Huntress' crew... Naydak, Branis, and Ingrid. The reunion was brief and Ingrid was elated to see that both Nuvo and Jaro survived the massacre of Clan Voss. After a night of much-needed rest, Fae approached with a request; take Dyna and leave. Now, you find yourselves on route to Mon Calamari in order to find parts to repair your Hyper Drive Class 2.
