Goodbye, my sons.
General Summary
After leaving Mon Cala after speaking with the admiral, he agreed to provide you all with a small down payment to return and continue your work liberating Mon Cala. A four and a half-day trip was all it took to return to Krownest and begin plans for the destruction of the weapon codenamed "The Duchess". Countess Wren informed the group of what Clan Wren came up with while your group was gone.
First, they brought up a full-scale assault on the facility. Everybody unanimously agreed that this would be a poor course of action and it would cost many lives.
Second, they mentioned heading in through the sewers underneath the facility. However, there was something inside the tunnel that almost killed Dax Wren when he was scouting.
Finally, they mentioned that a member of Clan Kryze would open up the rear entrance in the dome and let the group in. Once they reached the hangar bay, they would lower the ray shield and let everybody in. However, that was the only help he planned on giving. Everybody agreed that this was likely the best option.
After agreeing upon a course of action, Ingrid mentioned that she wasn't going to participate in the assault. Instead, she was going to head over to Averness; a small city located a few miles away from Clan Wren's stronghold. This was the site where Clan Voss was massacred. She departed shortly after. The group agreed that this was strange and decided to pursue a few hours after she left. Upon arriving in the village, the Voss members were thanked profusely for their sacrifice in defending the people. However, the man that thanked him informed the group that Ingrid never showed up here. They were the first members of Clan Voss that visited since the battle.
The hunt began...
Everybody quickly left Averness to try and find where Ingrid had gone. You upon a sacred site where foundlings of Clan Wren went to become warriors. After spending a few moments searching near here, you found what remained of Ingrid's armor. That familiar black tar of the "Rot God" clung to the remnants of Ingrid's armor. Feathers could be seen nearby as well as tracks in the snow where the tar slithered to capture the member of the winged creature.
Inside a compartment in Ingrid's armor, a data drive was left with Ingrid's last words.
To my son, As my foundling, I took great pride in raising you. You have grown into such a good man and it pains me greatly to know that I won't see you one last time. I'm writing this to you in my last moments. My mind is starting to fade. I can feel it but in these last moments, I choose to remember the times that I cherish the most. Do you remember when Jakal tried to challenge us on the shooting range? He talked up his aim like he was the second coming of the Mand'alor himself. When you started outperforming him, it brought me such pride and joy. You are my pride and joy. What about the time when Taylin tried to arm wrestle you? The face she made was priceless. I had never seen that girl so angry when you beat her. Urduu always talked about your kindness. It was such a strange trait from somebody of your stature but that just means I taught you right... Right? I am so sorry. I am rambling. Part of me regrets protecting that girl. I think her name was Nydak. The Zabrak girl. It's rare that I have regrets. I didn't realize when I shielded the girl that it would be the last thing I do. I know when Clan Voss found you it wasn't an ideal situation. It never is. That doesn't change how much I care about you. You will always be my son. I love you, Ingrid
It is now Harvest Day, which falls on Centaxday in the year 3644 ATC.
