3. The Holy Order of the Jedi Knights

The Holy Order of the Jedi Knights, more commonly known as the Jedi Order is a monastic religious group that hails its origins from the deep core world of Tython. Through its many iterations aside from the origin's, they have been staunch believers in The Light Side of the Force, and its champion the Sister. Even in their own code, they abhor the Mother.
They are guardian's of the Republic's peace, and oft called to be mediator's and peacekeeper's on Republic matter's that the Judicial Force's are not able to handle on their own.
There sacred weapon of office and religious Icon is the Lightsaber, a weapon of immense power and skill.

They have several facets that benefit the Republic as a whole, including the Agricorp, a sect of Jedi and failed knight's who still serve the Order through cultivating world's with life to feed and keep the Peace.

The sworn enemy of their religion and order, is the Sith Order, a heretical offshoot from their own exiles within their ancient history who worship the Dark Side of the Force.
Aside from their own Code, they also have dictates that do not allow them to interfere with the natural order of the world's they visit, respecting the populaces choices up until it conflicts with the peace and safety of those living there. Then the Light is their only code, and they uphold it righteously and staunchly.
Aside from the Lightsaber, they can be marked by the brown cloaked robes of their Order, over often sand tan tunic's of some variety. They are respected within the Core and Colonies, and seen as sometimes Mythical beasts on the Outer Rim.
