Marred

Armor that has taken damage in excess of three-quarters its total hit points is Marred. The marred condition reduces the the bonuses granted to all Defenses and Vitals by three-quarters, rounding down; and reduces all additional bonuses by half. Marred armor triples its armor check penalty on skills. Armor with the marred condition, regardless of type, are worth 75% of its normal value. Armor loses the marred condition if it regains at least three-quarters of its original hit points or higher. Generally speaking, this requires a DC 30 Mechanic check and 4 hours of work to be completely repaired, the time is reduced by 10 minutes, for each multiple of 2 the DC is beat by. Most mechanics charge one-fourth of the item’s total cost to repair such damage.
