Ion Specialist

You are skilled in the use of Ion Weapons against Droids, Shields, Vehicles, and other machines, able to gain certain benefits depending on which weapon you use.

Ion Specialist

• Benefit: When making an attack with an Ion Weapon against a Droid, Shield, Vehicle, or another type of machine, you gain one of the following benefits, depending on the kind of weapon you use.

1. Ion Assault Weapon: When you use an Ion Assault the critical threat of the weapon is increased by 1.
2. Ion Blade/Charge: When you use an Ion melee weapon you may treat your target's Damage Resistance as though it is 3 points lower.
3. Ion Explosive: When you use an Ion Explosive, the Explosive's Splash radius is increased by 1 square.
4. Ion Heavy Weapon: Ion Attacks target the target's Reflex Defense and treat it 5 points lower.
5. Ion Sidearm: When you use an Ion Sidearm, the damage dice increase by 1 step.

Improved Ion Specialist

Prerequisite: Ion Specialist

• Benefit: When making an attack with an Ion Weapon against a Droid, Shield, Vehicle, or another type of machine, you gain one of the following benefits, depending on the kind of weapon you use.

1. Ion Assault Weapon: When you use an Ion Assault the critical threat & damage multiplier of the weapon is increased by 1.
2. Ion Blade/Charge: When you use an Ion melee weapon you may treat your target's Damage Resistance as though it is 3 points lower and Damage Threshold as though it is 5 points lower.
3. Ion Explosive: When you use an Ion Explosive, the Explosive's Splash radius is increased by 1 square and if the damage dealt surpasses the target's Damage Threshold they are Stunned for one round.
4. Ion Heavy Weapon: Ion Attacks target the target's Reflex Defense and treat it 10 points lower.
5. Ion Sidearm: When you use an Ion Sidearm, the damage dice increase by 2 steps.

Master Ion Specialist

Prerequisite: Improved Ion Specialist

• Benefit: When making an attack with an Ion Weapon against a Droid, Shield, Vehicle, or another type of machine, you gain one of the following benefits, depending on the kind of weapon you use.

1. Ion Assault Weapon: When you use an Ion Assault the critical threat range is increased by 2 & the damage multiplier of the weapon is increased by 1.
2. Ion Blade/Charge: When you use an Ion melee weapon you may treat your target's Damage Resistance as though it is 6 points lower and Damage Threshold as though it is 8 points lower.
3. Ion Explosive: When you use an Ion Explosive, the Explosive's Splash radius is increased by 3 squares and if the damage dealt surpasses the target's Damage Threshold they are Stunned for one round and then Confused for one round.
4. Ion Heavy Weapon: Ion Attacks target the target's Reflex Defense and treat it 10 points lower.
5. Ion Sidearm: When you use an Ion Sidearm, the damage dice increase by 2 steps & add your Intelligence modifier to your Sidearm damage.

Perfect Ion Specialist

Prerequisite: Master Ion Specialist & Combat Mastery

• Benefit: When making an attack with an Ion Weapon against a Droid, Shield, Vehicle, or another type of machine, you gain one of the following benefits, depending on the kind of weapon you use.

1. Ion Assault Weapon: When you use an Ion Assault the critical threat range is increased by 3 & the damage multiplier of the weapon is increased by 2.
2. Ion Blade/Charge: When you use an Ion melee weapon you may treat your target's Damage Resistance as though it is 9 points lower and Damage Threshold as though it is 11 points lower.
3. Ion Explosive: When you use an Ion Explosive, the Explosive's Splash radius is increased by 3 squares and if the damage dealt surpasses the target's Damage Threshold they are Stunned for one round, Confused for one round, and then Staggered for one round.
4. Ion Heavy Weapon: Ion Attacks target the target's Reflex Defense and treat it 10 points lower & Flat-Footed.
5. Ion Sidearm: When you use an Ion Sidearm, the damage dice increase by 3 steps & add your Intelligence modifier to your Sidearm damage.
