Arwan Station

Arwan Station is a spaceport located in the Jarnollen System . It is primarily a legitimate trading hub, but also has several less-than legitimate business operating out of it in the shadows as well as a few gambling houses. Security on the station is mainly handled by spaceport security details, who roam the station and monitor activity. The station itself is built inside of a decommissioned Baas-class space station. It spans 900 meters, with 20 storage levels above and below the docking ring. The docking ring itself has twenty hangar bays, about half of which belong to various trading outposts, including Hangar 17 which serves the Jeruba Consortium Depot . Remaining hangar bays serve as additional storage when needed or serve other purposes; hangars 12 and 14 for example have been converted into luxury hotel suites to house visitors and the nightclub Arwan Edge is located within hangar 6. Arwan Station runs with a small crew of about half the full compliment, or around 140 full-time residents, plus a compliment of 15 security officers. Many of these residents work for one of the trade depots, hotel hangars or one of the three casinos located within the station. Security and menial labor are supplemented with droids. Because it is a trade station however, and due to the casinos and hotels, the station is often busy with a transient population made up of gamblers and traders. Although the closest planet is Jarnollen , the station is designed to be fully self-sufficient. It keeps a store of supplies capable of supporting the crew and full-time members of the station fed for up to two years, though supplies are constantly being brought in for the casinos and hotels. Jarnollen itself is about an 8 hour trip by sublight, which means that if you work on the station, you likely live on the station as well. External security relies on the powerful shields around the station. A contingent of four T-65B X-Wing starfighters help keep the peace in the space around the port, though many of the trading houses have at least one or two starfighters of their own that they can send out if need be.
