Morality Checks
Morality is the number used to measure a characters alignment to the dark side or the light.
70 Morality is the Light Side Threshold where a character becomes a beacon of the Light Side 30 Morality is the Dark Side Threshold where a character becomes a paragon of the Dark SideMorality | 30 or Lower | 50 +/-5 | 70 or Higher |

Discipline Check (Optional) | Resolve Roll | Adjust Morality |
DISCIPLINE CHECKS
A Character may influence the outcome of their Check by making a Discipline check at the start of their Morality Check.
You may choose not to use all the successes of your Discipline Check
Discipline | Morality | Difficulty | Checks |
---|---|---|---|
Morality | 30 Dark or 70 Light | 20 Dark or 80 Light | 10 Dark or 90 Light |
Difficulty | No challenge | Easy | Medium |
Die | Symbol | Results |
---|---|---|
Success | 2 Advantage | Triumph |
Each excess success lets you +/- your Resolve or Conflict by 2 | +/- your Resolve or Conflict by 1 | +/- your Resolve or Conflict by 5 |
In Addition, for Each Light/Dark side Deed you committed you gain one BONUS BOOST DIE to assist in your roll
Light Side Deeds only work for rolls lowering Conflict Dark Side Deeds only work for rolls lowering ResolveRESOLVE ROLL
The Player then Rolls the d10 die to get a number for their Resolve. This number will be what you subtract conflict from to get excess light side points. If you lower this number with a resolve check it will be easier for you to stay in the dark side of the force. If you're able to lower your Resolve past 0 you will start to move into the Darkside lowering your morality further.ADJUST MORALITY
Without a discipline check this is simple. Subtract conflict from Resolve then add the remaining number to your Morality moving it upward to a higher number. If however a player wanted to use a discipline check, things may be a bit different. If they were trying to LOWER their Resolve number and successfully lower it below zero they then subtract the resulting number from their Morality. 3-5 = -2 Morality Lowered by 2

EXAMPLE 1 When characters carry out dark deeds or use the power of the Dark Side they will Generate Conflict (Example - starting with 5 conflict) When Characters Engage in a Morality Check they Roll one D10 Die, this number generates their Resolve (D10 Roll gives a 6) Subtract the conflict from the Resolve number and a character Gains that many points in their Morality (Resolve - Conflict = Net Gain) (6-5 = 1) EXAMPLE 2 The player has a Morality of 20, but they do not want their morality to increase towards the light. The player chooses to do a Discipline check in an attempt to lower their resolve number. As their Morality is 20 it is a 2 difficulty Discipline check. The player Rolls, 1 Failure, 2 Success, 3 Advantage. This Results in 1 normal success (failure removes one) plus an additional success from the 2 advantage to a total of 2 successes. The player may then lower their resolve number by 4 since each success counts for 2 points, shown in the table above. The player Rolls the d10 and gets a 6. Because of their Discipline check they can lower the resolve by 4, this makes the number 2. They then only increase morality by 2 EXAMPLE 3 If we use our example 2 but instead had the Resolve number be 1 instead of 6 then because the player gets to lower the result of the resolve by 4 that makes the resolve number go lower than 0 resulting in -3. (1-4 = -3) The player would then lose 3 Morality, moving further Dark Side. The Player always has the option to use as many of their successes as they wish, if they didn't want -3 they could choose to use none of their successes which would result in a Morality increase of 1 because their resolve roll was 1. (1-0 = 1) or if they had used 1 success which counts as 2 points (1-2 = -1) they would lose 1 Morality instead.
