Imperial Security Bureau

Often to referred to as the ISB, the Imperial Security Bureau is a law enforcement and internal intelligence organization of the Galactic Empire. It's primary charge is to deal with matters of internal state security and ensure the loyalty of citizens to the Empire. It was separate from, larger than, and often rival to Imperial Intelligence.
When a civilian law enforcement on an Imperial world is considered disloyal or too inept to carry out it's work, it is quickly removed and replaced with the ISB. The organization is often feared by civilians as it is known to use ruthless interrogation and re-education programs as well as remove those who challenge Imperial propaganda.
