You met Maris outside the village while it was in chaos. His family had been corrupted with dark side energy. After subduing his wife and father he thanked you.
In questioning him you learned he was getting lessons from Hethan Romund to train his force sensitive abilities. He has now returned to the village where he works and labors shirtless most of the day.
