The Clone Wars wages on, as armies of men who share the same face fight to protect us from the aggressive Confederate of Independent Systems. Under Chancellor Palpatine's strong leadership, the new Grand Army of the Republic is taking decisive action in attacking Separatist strongholds. Although the good Chancellor's efforts are constantly hampered by either the Jedi's or the Senate Pacifics idealistic interferences. They believe that inaction is the best course of action. To leave the C.I.S. to it's own devices until it surely collapses, so that it comes crawling back to us in the Core. They ignore however, that it is the Separatists who are attacking us! This great war is one of defense, made necessary by the Senate's previous inaction.
An unnamed senator from the Militarist faction shared "We knew this was going to happen. We've fought for years for a centrilized mean to defend ourselves, and the Republic at large from an externtal threat. This could have been prevented with a stronger presence throughout the galaxy. I believe this is a wake up call to those in the Inner Rim especially. We've some of those wild cards in the Mid and Outer Rim run around for long enough. What happens if the Separatists start winning the war, or by the Force if we're invaded from the unknown regions? I hope the Jedi follow the path that the Chancellor is taking us, otherwise they'll just continue to be in the way of us protecting ourselves."
Perhaps not all worlds in the Mid rim, or Outer Rim are such a cause for concern, but almost all Separatist worlds come from there. Is there threat from outside of the know galaxy? It wouldn't be the first time in Republic history that we were unprepared for a large scale threat, let alone one from outside our borders. This is all without even bringing up the severe pirating and Hutt problems that have arisen since disbanding centrilized military. Whatever one may think, we can not disband the GAR now, with the Clone Wars in full swing. Under Chancellor Palpatine's reliable leadership, and the burgeoning military minds in Ex-Jedi Count Dooku's War, the Republic will find greater resolve and security undoubtedly.
