The Exchange are criminal organization that have been active since around 4000 BBY, and are regarded as the most powerful, only rivaled by the infamous Hutt Cartel . Local Presence Aside from the Ripper Gang, the Exchange has the largest presence on Ord Mantell currently, as they have been there nearly as long as the Ripper’s have. Unlike the other gangs that inhabit the planet, the Exchange don’t seek to rule the planet, or at least heavily influence it. For them, they are fine with how it is, though they wouldn’t be upset if they gained further control. The Exchange has been using Ord Mantell as a staging ground to smuggle items in and out of Republic space, as well as a location to trade off slaves, specifically in Killairn’s Baazar. The Exchange operates out of Worlport, which is largely divided between them, the Ripper’s, and the Hutt Cartel. Goals Despite not actively seeking to control more aspects of the planet, they do wish to push out or seize the Hutt Cartel’s territory and businesses, as they are currently engaged in a galaxy-spanning crime war with them. The Exchange has hired many assassins and bounty hunters to try and claim Khorbba the Hutt’s life, but none have succeed as the Hutt has many skilled individuals under his payroll as well. They also wish for the Separatist uprising to succeed, believing that they will be able to weaken the Ripper Gang’s grasp on the planet.
