Lead helmsman of the USS Jean Valjean.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Roth keeps himself in fantastic physical condition. He enjoys his 'twinkish' appearance and believes that his blue complexion does not lend itself to being overly muscular, prefering a light definition on his thin frame.
Facial Features
Roth's face is angular and 'cute' by most humanoid standards. He's particularly expressive with his antennae.
Apparel & Accessories
Roth is typically in uniform. When not on duty, he prefers to wear the fashion of the day, though often, when aboard ship he can be found in ship board civilian wear, typically warm, athletic shorts or trousers, dark blue t-shirt with 'Valjean' across it, or 'hoodie' with the Valjean's registry number and patch.

Personal history
Roth was raised in Shess, one of Andoria's larger cities. His parents, Rihiros Th'Kirit (thevan {Thaan father}), Bisev Th'Kirit, nee Ch'Vaakrit (charan {Chan father}), Izoria Th'Kirit nee Sh'Thaannek (sherva {Shen mother}), and Siraa Th'Kirit (zhavey {Zhen mother}) raised Roth with love though they were often antagonistic toward each other. This translated to tension, from time to time, between Roth and his six older siblings as well. Some of Roth's favorite memories from his childhood include ice sailing.
At 18, Roth left Andoria for Earth where he enrolled at Starfleet Academy. Rihiros, Roth's thevan, was convinced that the young man was determined to leave Andoria which is why he enrolled at the Academy. While there may have been some truth in that initially, Roth quickly found himself to be incredibly skilled as a pilot and was certified for all size starships fresh out of the Academy.
While on Earth, Roth found himself to be incredibly focused on not just his piloting abilities, but his ability to hook up with other males. While not manipulative or particularly hostile, Roth certainly had his share of dates while in San Francisco. This continued in his first assignment, the USS Osiris, an Oberth-class starship.
In December, 2375, Commander Steven Locarno offered Roth the position of conn aboard the brand new USS Jean Valjean.
Roth is without question the most capable pilot aboard the massive Valjean and is possibly one of the best in the fleet.
Gender Identity
Chan (Andorian's are quadrigendered with two 'male' genders, and two 'female' genders.) Chan males tend to be a bit more effeminate and are often queer.

Kinsey 6, solely attracted to the masculine genders. Roth is an extremely sexual person who believes that sexuality should be experianced often and with many. He has only ever had relations with masculine genders but this has not limited his experiences.

Employment
Roth joined the USS Osiris directly out of the Academy, where he served for eighteen months. Initially assigned to the Osisis's beta shift, with in three months, Captain Morox (Denobulan) reassigned Roth to the alpha shift, his talent for starship piloting earning him the role of the Osiris's lead helmsman.
During the Dominion War, the Osiris was assigned to fleet support, transporting supplies to the frontlines or Starbase 375. Osiris ended up in multiple skirmishes.
Following the Dominion War, Osiris returned to her scientific missions.
For his talents as a pilot as well as a unique calmness under the pressures of combat, Captain Morox placed multiple letters of commendation in Th'Kirit's file.
In December 2375, the new command crew of the USS Jean Valjean NCC 24601 was seeking a pilot for the new starship (Sovereign-class). When the Valjean's First Officer reviewed Th'Kirit's record, Th'Kirit became Locarno's first pick. Captain Morox's recommendation sealed the deal and Th'Kirit transfered to the Valjean

Motivation
While none in his immediate family have history in Starfleet, he is decended from a long line of Starfleet officers, which is what initially inspired Roth to join the Academy.

Roth's personal hygiene is significantly beyond the standards of most Andorians. He can be particularly vain and that translates to fastidious grooming.

During his time at Starfleet Academy, Roth made every attempt to experiance sex with as many men as possible. He was moderately successful.
While aboard the Osiris, he and a couple of the male crew had regular 'dates.' The pool of candidates for 'congress' was small as the crew size of the Oberth-class starship maxes out 100 persons.
When Roth joined the Valjean, he quickly became close friends with the half human/half Betazoid nurse Basil Whitaker.
He has had relations with quite a few members of the Valjean's crew.
During a scene in Season 1 Roth arrives on the bridge for his shift at the Conn missing an antenna. He tells the Marius that this was during a night of passion with another crew member, a young man from Astrophysics. It is not stated in the first season, but that young man is Declan Bradley.
In season 2 Roth is pursue and actual relationship with the transporter chief, Jason Baker.
