Summon Creature

Tier 1 Spell (Easy(d) difficulty)

"Say hello to my little friend."
— Tony Montana, Scarfae
Sometimes, wizards need a little help. But they do have their pride, so rather than simply asking for it, they open up a hole in space-time and summon a small creature (at maximum silhouette 1, which is roughly the size of a human) to assist them, a task many consider to be easier than engaging in conversation. It is unknown exactly were these creatures come from, whether it be another location far away, or if they are made from the very fabric of reality, but what is certain is that they do not stay for long, often vanishing back to where they came from. There is another caveat: the summoned creature is not under the direct control of its summoner, and it is not unheard of for summoned creatures to attack those who brought them there.   Despite these drawbacks, this spell does have its uses, as the summoned creature can attack foes or provide a needed distraction. There are ways to improve this spell, and even control the creature summoned, all of which add difficulty to the spell and are described below.
  • Additional Summon: This spell summons one more creature, and the caster may spend aa to summon yet another additional creature. This can be triggered multiple times, spending aa each time. (+d)
  •
  • Range: Increase the range or how far away the summoned creature appears by one range band. This can be stacked multiple times, adding one range band and difficulty each time. (+d)
  •
  • Summon Ally: The summoned creature is allied to its summoner, and the summoner may spend one maneuver to direct them. (If there are multiple creatures, the summoner may spend one maneuver to direct all of them.) (+d)
  •
  • Larger Summon: Increase the size of the summoned by the spell to silhouette 3 (About the size of a tractor-trailer). (+dd)
