Divine Plague

Tier 2 Spell (Average(d d) difficulty)

"Mulus, show these unbelievers the power of a goddess scorned!"
— Surgua, High Priestess of Mulus, right before inflicting a plague of poison against a horde of atheists.
Clerics and Priests are known for their healing abilities, but that doesn't mean they are incapable of inflicting some nasty conditions on foes. By saying a prayer to their Elderon, a cleric can perform the very opposite of a miracle: divine intervention creating a negative effect, a plague. Listed below are some of the plagues a cleric can ask for, and the difficulty of accomplishing them. Note that some plague effects can be combined, increasing the difficulty as needed.
  • Plague of Shadows (dd): This causes the target's eyes to be coated in blackness, adding bbb to their ranged combat checks, Vigilance checks, and Perception checks until the end of the caster's next turn. This can only be combined with Plague of Exhaustion and Plague of Mental Fog.
  •
  • Plague of Exhaustion (dd): This assaults the target's physical abilities, removing d from their Brawn, Agility, and Presence checks until the end of the caster's turn. This can be combined with any other plague effect, except for Plague of Mental Fog.
  •
  • Plague of Mental Fog (dd): This assaults the target's mental faculties, removing d from their Cunning, Intellect, and Willpower checks until the end of the caster's next turn. This can be combined with any other plague effect, except for Plague of Exhaustion.
  •
  • Plague of Sloth (dd): This fills the target with a terrible fatigue, reducing their defense by 2 until the end of the caster's next turn. This can be combined with any plague effect, unless mentioned otherwise.
  •
  • Plague of Weakness (ddd): This makes the target more susceptible to wounds. Until the end of the caster's next turn, whenever the target suffers wounds, they suffer 1 more wound. This can only be combined with Plague of Exhaustion and Plague of Mental Fog.

Effect

Varies, depending on the caster's desires.
