A special holographic display formed out of low-energy magical essence, always unique to each person as its primary function which is allowed by the laws of Leray magic to monitor the important vital stats of the individual regarding magical properties and energy levels. Energy scopes essentially act as magical health bars for those in battle, or determine possible problems with a person's magical circuits at any given time. And after the decades of evolution to the magic system, energy scopes have been changing form and added new possible color-coded messages to represent a multitude of different status effects.
Energy Scans appear holographically above or nearby a Leray wielder when displaying, but all of them are color coded by the design of the veil.

> Orange indicates that the normal operating parameters are being used for the wielder.
> Red indicates a warning to the wielder that they are in danger of or have already sustained real time damage. Wielders whose energy scopes are red should avoid further combat and seek medical attention immidiatley.
> Green indicates that while real time injuries have not been sustained, a problem is preventing that wielder from attaining protection status from the official Leray veil. Magic is enabled, but real time damage protection is not availible. It may also indicate that magic is enabled without official connection or association from the veil, or that magic is availible while the veil is currently offline.
> Yellow is the stanard color for most Leray summons. Certain summons may have customized energy scope colors, such as the dark coloration of a Phantom Drake, the multi-colored stacked energy scope of a Sentinel spawn, or the ethereal purple coloration for specific summons using spirit elemental properties.
> Grey: Energy scopes turn to a dull grey the moment the wielder's vital organs begin to shut down, as a final warning that they will soon perish while connection to the veil is being lost. An energy scope that turns grey will usually last for only ten seconds before fading away for good. As a person dies, the energy scope cannot find its target and thus cannot stay active for long.
