Infinite Misconception: Shadows of Our Past {Story}
This is the tenth book of the Leray Series, where Danny, Taylor, and Jane take on a new journey to the world outside of Sprawn Valley; the real world in which magic does not exist nor is it part of anybody's life. Meanwhile, after learning how involved the Scarlet Cult are with criminal acts all over the nation, Brash Danton depressingly reminisces about a time long passed, the idea somehow relevant to why the Scarlet Syndicate is active in the first place, and into a memory he wished he could forget.
Details: With the problem of Alpha Zero now just a bad memory, Jane, Danny, and Taylor plan to take a vacation up to New York, the original destination set for Danny and Taylor prior to falling off the Tidal Max. After a brave defiance from Taylor, she is temporarily freed from a haunting situation in her home country. Uncle Nyar thus offers to take Danny, Taylor, and Jane to New York for a few months. Even though this means the use of magic will be disabled having leave the veil, Jane is overly excited to explore the outside world and its incredible wonders!
However, a mundane world without magic may not be too exciting of an experience, especially as far as Nyar is concerned. Being so used to invoking Leray magic has taken away the natural experience and education that Danny and Taylor would have attained without it, so getting used to the normal world is not going to be as easy. Luckily, Nyar is there to show everyone how to live a normal life as a responcible adult.
Meanwhile, Brash Danton shuts himself inside of the champion chambers, alone and mute to harbor his old emotions of the past. Danton was once a basic Leray wielder himself, and like all Leray wielders, he set out on his own journey filled with magic, action, heartbreak, and uncertainty. Ten years ago, things in Sprawn Valley seemed so different, or perhaps, that was just how he envisioned the future at the time. Mention of the Scarlet Syndicate only stir up these memories so fresh and potent. Danton forces himself to relive those days of the past, the days that may have led to the very creation of such evil within the Scarlet Cult.
