Fiery Plume

Fiery Plume is the next step up in terms of evolution from the Plume attack spell. Fiery Plume works in much the same way as regular Plume does, only the element of powerful fire is added to each upburst of stones and rocks. This fire combined with generated hot steam that escapes from these geysers, generating a little more power for the spell, plus the added element of fire. But there is one more catch. The fire from this generated spell mimics properties for that of lava, packing a temperature unlike any other Leray-based fire elemental spell known in the entire spell book. While Fiery Plume is not powerful enough on its own to bypass the protective effects of the veil, the lava like intensity of the heat and fire sits right at the edge of the protection's limits to the Leray veil. This means that while the damage alone would be high for just a single hit, the pain on its own is far more powerful and debilitating than most Leray spells. What worse, the generalized location still falls to some control for the wielder, while the randomization factor ensures one small area may be hit twice to ensure even more damage is afflicted should bad luck in the targeting affect the user's prey.

Predecessor Spells: Plume
Evolutionary Forms: None

Effect

Attack Form: Random Area Ground-based Attack
Attack Type: Fire Elemental Magical Blunt Damage
Glyphring: False

Side/Secondary Effects

Taking a single hit from this attack will cause instant first degree burns on the body where less protected by special clothing, and may exceed to second degree burns on top of the bruising that can occur from the sudden blunt force from the heated stones shooting up into the body. But in addition to this, the intense splash of heat from each geyser will without fail inflict a heavy amount of burning pain, often debilitating any wielder who dare touches it for even a split second.

Manifestation

The spell has a similar appearance to the ordinary Plume spell, including the creation of an earthquake during the attack factor. The main difference in appearance is that the hot geysers blasting out from the ground have an orange to yellow hue of natural glow due to the intensity of the lava-like heat involved. Because of the amount of steam that escapes each geyser, the battlefield slightly clouds up with the gasses for a fair duration after the spell ends, slightly reducing visibility.
