Darkmantle had Jim.   He said he wanted to keep Jim (who was apparently once a god?), to use him to amplify his experiments with the reach.   Sala tried to reason with him, but didn't want to give up the new reach for the old one.   Sala told Darkmantle to keep Jim and Fynbar, and only send the two of us to the Citadel...   He agreed, and began working on the preparations to make the portal.   I watched what he was doing, and recognized the old magic I had read about.   I remember trying something similar at the Library.   Jim approached Sala, but couldn't reach him. Sala stabbed him, but I remained focused on the preperation.   I see now what that passage meant. I might have been able to figure that out, if I had more of the ingredients on hand.   Jim then tried to run away, but couldn't open the door. Sala opened it, but Jim still couldn't get out.   The ingredients, he has more of them...   Sala stabbed him again, and Jim started shaking, and still couldn't get out.   Everything started shaking violently, Darkmantle stared right at Sala.   I used this distraction to steal the ingredients to make the transportation spell.   Sala was apparently trying to use the reach to move Darkmantle, but it just keeps making the house fall down.   I was struck with falling debris, and Sala was as well.   Darkmantle seemed really interested in this, and was actually goading Sala on. Something about wondering if the effects would increase each time.   Sala used the reach again, only this time to take us to Oceanguard.   I told Sala about how I could replicate the portal spell.     I told the record keeper about the information we have about the coalition, and asked to speak with a Paragon.   Shortly after that a paragon arrived, they began escorting us into Oceanguard.   The Paragon asked us for information, but Sala didn't want to deal with anyone by Ryia.   A second Paragon came in, and asked us for information, apparently Ryia wasn't around, and this Paragon was much higher ranked.   Sala argued with him for a little while, but I eventually was able to tell him about the Citadel and the Coalition.   We told them about Nima, and the older Magen. At the mention of Nima, he was visibly shaken for a moment.   Sala asked if they would help us storm the Citadel.   He agreed, and wanted me to show them how to create the portal.   The Magen were not very open to the idea that this portal could work, so I gave them a list of the ingredients, and asked them to perform a small experiment to see if it worked.   They agreed, and the next morning, I was able to teach them how to create the portal.   7 of the 10 magen were able to successfully create the portal.   After that we were given another day to rest.   After a week at Oceanguard, they began their attack. The results were spectacular. The whole of the Coalition that were at the Citadel were destroyed.   I was given a paper, it signifies the eternal friendship of Oceanguard.   Sala wanted Oceanguard to let us stay here as a new base of operations.

Game notes 2021/05/06     Lord Darkmantle asked us to retrieve the reach from the castle nearby.   If he didn't do it himself, I expect there will be opposition.   Sala and I headed out, but Jim and Fynbar didn't follow. Fynbar kept trying to get Jim to leave, and seemed really disturbed.   On the way, we were attacked by werewolves.   I fired a blast at one that was charging us, and hit it.   Then Sala cut the largest of them down in a single blow.   They backed off, back into the mists. We continued on our way.   We reached the end of the splinter. I almost didn't notice, but we stopped just in time.   While we thought about what to do next, Jim and Fynbar arrived.   I told Jim about the edge, and he said that the family they encountered along the way mentioned that.   I asked if they said anything about the castle, and he told me it had been splintered.   I suggested that Sala use the his reach to get us to the castle. It worked, but felt wrong.   The castle was overrun, and in ruins. Massive pillars, and crumpled walls surrounded us.   We started searching the castle for the Reach. Sala asked if I could just pull it to myself, but I told him it wouldn't like it.     One of the columns, was a golem, and tried to stomp us.   I got out of the way, then it swung a sword at Jim.   It missed, but he must have been snagged by the sword, and was pulled up onto the Golems back.   It was so dark, I couldn't actually see it's head.   Fynbar was verbally directing Jim to find the power source, or other weakness.   Sala gave it a hard blow to the leg, but it's armor took a lot of the impact.   I tried blasting it with energy, but that too seemed to do little.   Jim spotted something, but must have nearly fallen off when the Golem attacked again.   He said he was OK, but sounded like he could use some help.   I tried to jump up to help him, but nearly fell off myself.   Sala must have injured it's leg, because if faltered, and we could see the ground again.   Jim tried to climb over me to get to the weak spot he found. He failed to get purchase, and almost knocked me off, but I was able to reach the opening.   Inside, I found a red stone inside the golem. It sang to me like the stone we found at the Hive in the Princedom, so I jumped down into the golem for it. I took hold of the gem, and felt it's energies flow into me.   The golem fell to the ground with a massive thud, but I didn't even feel it.     I feel a connection to the golems around me. I think I could power one of them if I wanted to...   The armor plates on this thing are stronger than anything I had ever seen.   Sala and I pulled some of the armor off the legs, and made some shields that while bulky, should provide substantial protection.   We searched the Castle, and found some Pael touched objects, but Fynbar doesn't know what they were for. Fynbar took them both, a Vial of strange liquid, and a washed out ceramic plate.   We found the crystal staff.   Sala gave his reach to Jim to hold while he carried the larger heaver one, but as soon as Jim touched it, he vanished.   Fynbar told us he was concerned that Lord Darkmantle was responsible.   Sala was able to use the reach to get us back to the manor.   Jim was there, and Darkmantle wanted to make sure we didn't go back on our agreement. He wanted the staff in exchange for Jim and the Coalition's reach.

Conversation with my Reach. 2021/04/22

Jim appeared beside me, and I told him the coalition was looking for me.   Jim had a reach, but doesn't understand it. He tried to give it to me, but I don't think I like it. I told him to hold onto it.   While we were walking away from the city, we came upon the pael.   I tried to use the reach to get back to the others, but it sounded awful, and didn't work.   We tried to make our way back to the main gate, the queen was able to reestablish her connection with me, and sent guards to help us back into the city.   Jim and I returned to the rest of the group, and Jim immediately gave Sala the Reach.   I told them about Nima, and the Library.   If Sala can use the Reach, he should be able to get us back.   But, Sala just wanted to use the reach to get to the citadel.   When he tried to use the Reach to go to the Citadel, it didn't work.   The queen has a friend who may be able to help us get to the Citadel. She will contact him, and let us know in the morning, since we never actually got to rest.   I woke from a dream, and I saw Cifs. We spoke about the shards. He seemed to think I still had a part of it in me, and that it was unusual that I had not lost my mind. He wanted me to come find him when I was done here, that my talents are wasted on this group.   What do you think about that?   We all woke up and ate breakfast with the queen.   She told us that the reach from Stonerange can get us to Aliesar, where her friend Mathias, now known as Lord Dark Mantle lived.   She said to follow the mist, his manor was where the mist was most dense.   The queen requested that we get silver weapons before we go.   I asked Sala if werewolves could be killed with energies. They can, so I should be good.   The queen got inside my head and gave me some strange advice that sounded helpful, but I couldn't quite understand it.   The queen opened the portal to Aliesar, and we went through.   The pael looked like Stonerange this time, but stranger.   We arrived in a forest and Jim pointed us in the direction of the denser mist.   We past many machines of war, terrible to behold, but thankfully still.   We hear the wolves all around us, but we continued forward.   I thought they would attack, but we arrived at the Dark Mantle Mannor without incident.   As we entered the courtyard, we found gardens.   The gardens were filled with strange plants.   The rest of the courtyard seems in severe disrepair.   Sala knocked on the door, and after a pause, it opened. No one seems to be behind it. We entered, and the inside was in similar disrepair.   Sala asked to see Lord Darkmantle. He replied, asking us to hurry up and be brief.   He asked us why we were here, and Sala told him about the queen and the attacks from the Citadel.   A path was illuminated and we quickly found him, sitting at a table filled with books, reading.   We spoke with him for a while, but he seemed more interested in his books.   He was not interested in helping us, but eventually said he would give us passage to the breach, but we would have to give him a reach.   He wasn't talking about you.   Sala refused to give up his reach. He looked at me, and said that maybe I would help.   Don't worry, I won't give you up.   I offered to take him to the library instead, but he said that he wanted to experiment on a reach, but didn't want to risk his own.   He said there was something else we might be able to do for him instead...

We found a guard, and after telling him about the bodies, went back to the inn with the sergeant.   Nima was there, examining them, when we arrived. Sala told her about the Magen in the grey cloak, and described what he could do.   He told her that we had heard that he was a master of Mercy, but I corrected him, as he would have to be a master of sovereignty to do what he did.   We went to speak with the Queen to see what we should do.   Sala told her about what we had heard, about the Coalition being at the Citadel.   She knew about a man who knew more about the Pael than the sorcerer. His name was Mathias Darkmantle. Jim apparently knew him.   Guards entered to tell us the city was under attack.   There was fighting in the halls on the way out.   There was a Magen who was being deposited and pulled back by a reach while attacking.   Suddenly a group of Magen appeared righ on top of us. Lucas grabbed one of them, and the queen put two of them to sleep with a glance.   Sala killed the other one.   The queen commanded the two to stand.   After mentally interrogating the magen, they dropped to the ground. The queen said they were after a member of our group.   We thought it was Fynbar, but we don't know where he is.   Nima was checking the two magen, and seemed horrified that they were dead. Apparently the queen thought it was more efficient that capturing them, since they would just be executed later anyway.   A guard came and asked the queen to come outside.   There are burning bodies in the sky making out the words "Bring him to me"   Sala and Lucas were trying to figure out where they are coming from. He was able to predict their next attack. It must have been quite the strain, because Nima had to heal him a bit halfway through.   They continued to figure it out, and found three places they could be coming from.   One in the wall, one by the docks and another at a manor.   I asked the queen to link our minds, so we would know what was going on.   Nima and I will go to the wall, Jim and Lucas will go to the docks, and the Queen and Sala will go to the manor.   The queen made a mental connection with me and Lucas.   Sala and the queen reach the manor, and start looking around. Sala kicked down the door, and the queen started scanning the house. There was no one there.   At the docks, Lucas and Jim dress in the dead Magen's robes, and enter the building. The room is filled with Magen, including the Magen in grey.   Lucas is actively transmitting everything he sees.   They are able to convince them that they are just new recruits that were overlooked.   The grey cloaked man mentioned that they would have to start burning the city down, since they were not getting results.   He divided the magen into groups and started sending them out using a reach that he had.   The reach would have to be very powerful if it could do what he was using it for...   We arrived at the wall, and Nima and the guards went into the wall with me.   Nima started asking about me and why I joined the group.   She was asking about where I had learned the magic I had, since it didn't look like the magic she had learned at flamewrote.   I told her briefly about the Library, and she seemed quite interested. Wanted to know if I could get back there.   You know, of course, that I can, whenever I want to.   She told me about how she studied at Flamewrote and was sold to Oceanguard, much like Fynbar was sold to Jim.   She said that she didn't like being prisoner, which I wholeheartedly agreed with her about.   I noticed the guards are not following us anymore.   She said that the coalition needed to have me so they could learn what I know.   I felt her try to get into my head, but the music warned me just in time.   She assaulted my mind, and almost had me, but I was able to resist, and got away through an arrow slit outside the city.   I alerted Lucas that Nima was the leader of the Coalition.   Lucas tried to grab the reach from grey cloak, but failed. Then Jim convinced him that the queen had found Nima, and the guards are coming, he flees, and takes Jim and one other magen with him.   Sala arrived at the docks, and killed the magen who were left.   Jim appeared in the field with me.

We arrived at StoneRang, and Sala went to the guardhouse to warn them about the Coalition. The others went to find an inn.   I lingered, searching for any signs of pursuit. I heard sounds of fighting, and rushed to the guardhouse.   Four Magen had reached to the guardhouse, Sala was able to kill two of them, the guards were able to take the others before I arrived.   They took us to see the Lady of StoneRang.   She asked us about the Coalition, if we knew why they were there.   Sala told her that they had attacked Rhodes, and they seemed to be looking for someone.   Her guards had not seen a grey cloaked Magen among them.   The rest of our group were brought in, and we were ushered to a room filled with doors.   We sat at a table and continued to discuss the Coalition.   Jalem came and gave a report to the queen regarding the attacking numbers.   She continued questioning us. Fynbar admitted that he was contacted by the Coalition.   She seemed confused as to why they would be after him, as he is not that powerful.   She agreed to keep us in a safe place, in case the Coalition returns. She wants to find out what the Coalition is up to.   She offered us tickets to Dungeon Ball, and gave us an escort for additional protection.     We were escorted to the inn, and each had our own room.   I wasn't in the mood to rest, so I looked out the window.   I saw shadows everywhere. Impossible to know which were significant.   Sala left for a bit to go to the library. I think Fynbar went with him.   After a while, he returned, and we went to the Dungeon Ball game.   It turns out Red Jim used to play Dungeon Ball, and was fairly well know for it. They asked him to break the first door.   While he charged the door, I began to think about what a bad idea this all was. We were totally exposed, I began looking for an exit.   That's when I saw them....   They were intermixed with the crowd. I saw their hands preparing to case, and fireballs rushed towards us.   I shouted to the group, and got between Fynbar and the attackers, prepared to defend our position until I could find an exit.   Nothing happened...They all seemed to disappear a moment later.   I kept scanning the crowd, looking for them to appear again.   Jim returned to the box, but I didn't see them again.   Eventually the game was over, and we returned to the inn.   The attack seemed so real. But clearly it was not. I kept playing it over an over again in my mind, like a record. The music just kept starting over again and again.   We retired to the inn, and went up to our rooms to rest. That's where we found them, flayed to death, stuck to the walls just like Oceanguard.   On our way to tell the guards, we met Nima bringing in the survivors of Rhodes. Apparently it was completely destroyed.

I can feel my power growing. The seeds long sewn, are beginning to sprout. The ancient knowledge my mind has absorbed is beginning to make more sense.   I feel that soon, nothing will be beyond my reach My body is becoming eternal, I may one day be immortal. The secrets of the universe swirl inside my mind, the ability to influence others actions with my words is slowly growing. I am gaining more control over the energies within me. I have empowered your vessel, to prevent anyone from separating us.     We returned to Rhodes, and started discussing plans of dealing with the Coalition of the Ascended. Jim went to talk to his friend Sinclair, who told us the Coalition is at the citadel by the breach.   That's when the Coalition attacked...   They arrived in town, and started setting everything on fire. Kai tried to shoot one of them, and got hit with 3 bolts of fire. He then got pulled out to a grey wizard. Sala tried to attack him, but failed to damage him. Jim tried to shoot him, but nothing seemed to happen. Finbar tried to pull Jim away, and I tried to get to higher ground. They killed Kai, burned to embers and chunks. Sinclair came out to fight, and Sala got a good hit on the grey wizard. They fired back at Sala, but he was still up. I saw the airship incoming, and Lucas was there. I hit the grey wizard from a great distance, and he started flying away. Sala started up the rope towards the airship. I far stepped to the ship, and Fynbar were there already. Jim and Sinclair were collected, and the ship attempted an escape. The grey wizard sent our ship into the ground several miles away.   We crashed in the iron hills, where the Orcs are... Jim threw a bottle of booze onto the ground, and cursed the grey cloak wizard.   We headed out towards Stonerang, hopefully we can get some assistance there. We were met by a wizard named Nima. She healed our injured and went on towards Rhodes after hearing there were injured there.

When Sala and I arrived at the body, it was gone, and there was quite the commotion. We tried to leave without drawing attention to ourselves, but ran into Lady Raiya. She was suspicus of us, but after questioning us, left to find someone else.   We were trying to figure out what to do, when Fynbar showed up.   We went to see if Fynbar can magically determine anything about the location where the body was.   Fynbar poked me in the back and set me on fire. My shirt was ruined, and now I will have to replace it. He said I was marked, but I have no idea what he is talking about.   We decided to go to the prison to see if we could find Jim.   When we arrive, Lady Raiya took us back into a room where Jim was.   She was looking for her lover, Macintosh, and thought we might know where he was.   Apparently Jim knew him, and knows where he is.   She offered us a favor if we can find him for her, Jim told her that he was in the Seven Dragons kingdom.   She left to find him, but told us that Eladra was killed by the Coalition of the Ascended. The Paragons have been trying to find them, without success.   As we were leaving, Jim told us about his encounter with the Drethe.   He believes that Eladra's body was fake, and she was rescued by the Coalition.     We went to see the Pael Eye to collect on the contract, but we found the place burned, and them all dead, flayed alive it looked like. Whoever killed them must have been a master magen. No one else could have done that to someone.   We went to an inn to rest and talk.   Jim was very distraught about what happened to the Pael Eye. He was worried about his wife, but unsure about our chances against someone so powerful.   Sala tried to cheer him up with his usual banter, when 3 men came in, and went up to Jim.   Sala intercepted them to find out what they wanted. Since he was some kind of official assistant here in Oceanguard, they gave the documents to him on Jim's behalf.   They left, and Sala opened the letter. Apparently, Jim owes someone a very large sum of money.   While we were resting at the bar, we hear some people talking at a nearby table. They seem to be some of Cifs's pirates. They were talking about burning a village of plant people.   I've never seen Fynbar that angry before. he knocked one of them out, and Sala took out the other one.

Conversation with my Reach. 2021/02/25

They took Jim away to await his execution, and kept us detained, but not charged as of yet.   I was thinking about what my next move should be, when I saw Sala enter the building   He was saying something about representing us and vouching that we wouldn’t flee.   They agreed to let us leave with him, as long as he would bring us back if they needed to question us further.   After we were released, we found Jim outside, beaten and covered in blood.   He seemed ok otherwise, so Sala suggested we get something to eat.   On our way, we met a man who recognized Jim. Next thing I know a group of men with Pael touched objects surrounded us.   They told Jim to come with them, and he agreed, saying this was all part of the plan.   We followed them for a bit, but they eventually said they only wanted to take Jim and Lucas.   I stayed with Sala and got some dinner.   Lucas and Jim came back, and told us about the contract they agreed to fulfill for the Pael eye.   We need to find out who killed Elandra, and find out if they found out about the list of names she had.     Sala asked if there was a way to speak with the dead, so we could ask her if she told anyone before she died.   I told him about the disciples of Drethe, that they can speak to the dead, because they are dead.   Sala came up with a crazy plan to have me reach for the body, so we can take it to Dretheric.   We were making the preparations, when Jim remembered that he met a woman, who was a disciple of Dre here in Oceanguard. Old Mary.   He went with Lucas to find here, while Sala and I went to see the body, since he hadn't seen her yet.     When we arrived, the body was gone, and there was quite a bit of commotion.

Conversation with my Reach. 2021/01/28

I sold my bow and arrows, and got a shield. Hopefully that will help if we have to fight any acid spitting bugs again.   I took the money we got from saving the reach and used it to get a fine armor smith to modify my armor to make it more flexible and comfortable.   I was searching the libraries when I heard from one of Sala's servants that he was discussing a job with a man that came by our apartments.   When I arrived I was informed that the man's name was Gilbert. A scribe who worked at the Suffrage or records in Oceanguard.   He was trying to help the Pael Eye rescue lady Elandra (the Magen terrorist), but she was killed before the plan could be achieved.   She was torn limb from limb...   Officially she was executed, but that was not supposed to be done yet, nor in that manner.   Gilbert is convinced the Pael Eye is going to kill him for failing them, and wants us to prove he was not involved.   Sala agreed to investigate this oddity, so we're going to Oceanguard.   The path was stranger than normal. A woman's spirit came to us in the Pael on the path to Oceanguard, and spoke to us: "Even perfect breaks"   Gilbert seems to be very uneasy about travel in the Pael. Apparently he doesn't travel much.   One of the flying creatures we saw earlier charged straight as Lucas, but dissipated as it crossed the path.   We found our way into a long hallway, but lost Sala. Hopefully he stayed on the path, but just fell behind. He should turn up in a day or two.   The hallway was lined with doors. Creatures broke out of the doors and managed to get onto the path. They chased us for a while, but we made it to Oceanguard.   We arrived at the gate, where we were met a record keeper.   Red Jim told them he was Robert. (He must have made some enemies here last time he was here.)   I got some kind of magical mark, and they told me I could stay for 3 days.   We were reminded to check in with our agitor each day. Oceanguard seems really stick with their rules.   Jim went to the Crushed Petal to see what he could find out. Said to meet him there in an hour.   Lucas and I went to the hall of records to look for the execution order.   We paid for entry, but couldn't afford assistance. Lucas went to find Jim, as we thought this might take a while.   When I arrived at the hall of records, you wouldn't believe what I found.   The symbols in the hall of record were nearly identical to the catalog system used in the library.   I wonder if, at some point in the past someone from the library came here...   I found the execution record. The name on the record was Ivan. That name did not appear anywhere else. Ivan is listed as 4th agitor Civil order of the 5th suffrage.   I went back to get Jim and Lucas, but they were on the way to see the remains of Elandra.   I managed to catch up to them before they arrived.   We examined the corpse pieces.   Clearly she was torn apart, but the bruising on her wrist looks like she was already dead when it happened.   Someone was trying to cover something up, but how did she die?   Lucas tried to get one of the guards to help us find Lucas, and nearly got us arrested I think.   But the guard eventually relented and took us to the offices.   We were met, not by Ivan, but by Raya, Paragon of Oceanguard.   She was investigating the death as well, and seemed to have nothing to go on.   But now that she had us, she was grilling us for information.   We were told that we would be placed in prison, to be released if the investigation showed us to be uninvolved. (I may need to find new friends if mine keep getting me locked up.)   Red Jim tried to impersonate someone else, but apparently got sloppy. He is going to be executed at dawn for being part of the Pael Eye.   So, now I might be in even more trouble that I thought...

Cifs took my hand and examined it. Then he stabbed me through my finger.     My blood dripped back into the crystal, and the glow returned to it.   Cifs was pleased with the crystal, and left the needle in my finger. I could still hear the song, faintly, but I know that if I keep listening, I may be able to understand it.   Dragons were spotted inbound!   Sala was on one of them, and decapitated the first dragon dropping to the deck.   The crew was able to net some of the dragons as the approached.   Sala decapitated the other big one, after it bit the mast.   My aim was a bit off, and I nearly hit Finbar, but some unlucky pirate jumped in front of him.   I managed to severely wound one of the smaller ones, and Sala finished it off with his bare hands...   While we were fighting the dragons, the lochflore jumped off the ship.   Sala knocked out the helmsmen, and tried to bring the ship down so we could go after it.   Cifs noticed immediatly, but agreed to let us search for the lochflore, but warned us that he would not wait long.   We set down in the wilderness, and after some searching, we found an encampment full of lochflore.   They had several of the ancient crystals there, but were guarding them too well for me to get one.   We tried to talk one of the lochflore into coming with us. They finally agree, but said they would have to sacrifice themselves to restore the reaches power.   We had a long discussion about how important that was, compared to the lochflore's life, before we could decide how we all felt about that, the lockflore was convinced to come with us to save the humans, even though the rest of the lochflore didn't think the magic of the reach was a good thing for the world.   Cifs airship is amazing, it appears to use the crystals to fly, and does so better than any airship I have ever seen. I must find out more about them.   We got back to Rhodes, and the reach was restored, but the lochflore died.   Sala offered to join Cifs crew, but was refused. Which is a shame, as I would have enjoyed to chance to learn more about those crystals...

The Captain didn't seem to like Cifs, maybe I shouldn't have mentioned him.   We were escorted back to the prisoners, but were diverted by the guard and taken to Jim. Not sure how he got here.   His airship is gone. He lent it to a woman...   We decided to try to break out the prisoners and take the airship.   The Lochflore spread some spores and Fynbar told the guards the spores were dangerous.   There are only a small number of prisoners, they look like pirates, not hive workers.   We convinced the prisoners to help us defeat the guards holding them, but some of them got away to alert the others.   The crew of Cifs ship led us to the ship so we could prepare defenses.   Cifs was not there, but will be returning eventually. We were not able to get any more information from them.   We reached the ship, and there was no one aboard. The crew began setting up defenses.   Myne seems to be in charge.   Cifs brought Kai back up to the deck, and tasked us with finding some kind of crystal (I didn't even see him leave).   Red Jim bluffed the guards, and somehow convinced them we were working for them, and needed their assistance.   We went to speak with Perkins, who had the crystal. I realized the crystal we are looking for is an ancient artifact, from before the sorcerer. This is exciting, I wonder what it is like, I only read about them at the library, but I my actually get to see one...   I know I shouldn't have, but I couldn't help it... I touched the crystal, and absorbed it's power...it sounds really nice, like something was missing from my mind and now I found it again. I don't understand it yet, but I think I just need to listed more...   Kai set fire to the hive as we were on our way back to the ship.   When we returned, we gave Cifs the crystal, but he knew that I had touched it.   He wanted to remove it from me... (I hope that isn't too unpleasant...)

I really need to get something to help protect against acid...   That lochflore is a strange creature. As large as a man, but extreamly curious.   We managed to get him to follow us by letting him rummage through our stuff.   Sala and Jim wandered off without us, but we hoped we could catch up.   The return trip took much longer that we expected, it was dark by the time we got back to where the airship was, or rather where is should have been.   Instead we found it gone, and bandits tried to rob us and attacked the lochflore.   There was a fight, and three of the bandits were wounded. They surrendered, and Kai took some of their money, but let them go.   We slept for the night, and then went to the nearest hive.   When we arrived, there was nobody outside.   Kai took a closer look and discovered it was taken over and looted by some bandits.   The Lochflore decided to climb over the wall, so we went as well.   UnforThey they saw us. One of them shouted something about traitors, and we were surrounded.   We were outnumbered so we let them lead us up to see their leader.   On the way up, I noticed Cifs ship was docked at the hive. There were a bunch of prisoners in a room that we passed, but I didn't get a good look at them.   When we met the leader, I was expecting to see Cifs, but another man was there.   He seemed to recognize us somehow, gave us back our weapons, but told us to leave. Fynbar tried to get us passage on an airship, but he refused.   He threatened to lock us up with the others if we didn't leave immediately.   So I asked him where Cifs was...

Game Notes 2020/11/12 We need to get out of here... but, you already know that. I've been going over our options, and nothing looks good. I asked Sala what he thought, and after suggesting we jump out the window, he suddenly remembered something and started going through one of his books. Sala pulled out a writ of Monster slaying, and summoned the guard. One look at that and they let us out. They were really apologetic about the whole thing too. They took us to the officer lounge where the rest of the team was already waiting. Big Jim made a bit of a scene, but we eventually went to his ship "The Undaunted" and were on our way. It took over a day to get to the Talon Stretch, but we were able to rest on the way. We arrived at the Talon Stretch and begin searching for the dragons. After we had been going for a little while, Fyn started really examining the plant life, and eventually stopped us to let us know something was killing all the plants. It appeared to be related to us, and he wanted to know if anything weird had happened. We told him about the bag the undead had given us to "drop off" here in return for allowing us to use thier reach. Apparently, Kai had it, though it was originally given to me. Kai tried to get rid of the bag, but unfortunately, it does not seem to work. We discussed options. Sala wants to throw him off a cliff, and Red Jim wants him to eat it. If he uses it, it should stop what it is doing, but its effect would likely be devastating long term. I wonder what The Disciples of Dreah had planned. We attempted to destroy it, without success. Sala took the object and activated it. It disappeared without any noticeable effect. Shortly after that we arrived near the Dragons. Some of the dung piles have large pods in them that are burst open. Perhaps we need to find one that is not opened yet. Unfortunately, we found some dragon dung beetles first, but we spotted an intact pod. Red Jim shot at one of the creatures hitting it squarely. Sala literally jumped off a cliff and stabbed one of the large ones. One of the large ones sprayed me with acid, which hurt. I got out of the way and got in position to start shooting them with arrows. Sala finished off the big one he was fighting, and the others seemed to lose their nerve and ran away. Kai found some treasure in the dung. We opened the pod, and discovered that the Loch Flore is a plant creature capable of moving. How are we going to get it back, we didn't bring anything to contain a living creature? Hopefully it will come with us willingly.

Conversation with my Reach. 2020/10/30

It was her Clearness who interrrupted us earlier.   She needed our help restoring the reach to Golgorth. Her auger needs us to find the essense of a living of Lochflorie to restore the reach back to working condition.   Only 4 of us were at the Kip today, but we went to work gathering the information we needed to locate this thing.   Kai was the only one to find out anything useful. He got his information from Sinclair. The Lochflorie is a flower that grown in dragon dung. The only place we knew of to find that was the Seven Dragon Princedom.   Unfortunatly the only reach we knew about that could take us there was in Golgorth.   Her Clearness gave us some supplies to help up front. I got the Mirror Bright a Cypher that appears to have trapped some sun light. We left a note for the others, so they can follow us. We didn't want to waste time waiting for them to return. We used the reach in Rhodes to go to Drethic.   The path led us up a long flight of stairs, and out into a field. There was a minor incident on the path. A geyser opened up, and I had to jump over it with Ambercoat. I think Sala was burn a bit, but seems to be ok.     We met with the undead at Drethic, and were directed to a reach to The Dragon Princedom. They wanted us to take a small pouch with us. I had it, but must have lost it in the Pael.   The path was basically a slide this time. Slick mud, I managed to keep on the path though, so don't worry.   When we arrived, we were met by armed guards, they wanted to check that we were not the undead.   They seemed especially interested in Kai.   While Sala and I were waiting for them to be cleared, we were accosted by a pirate captain. I think he thought we were someone else.   Kai and Ambercoat were cleared and we went about looking for a place to find passage to the mountains.   Got arrested for being accosted by the pirate. Apparently they think we are working with him.   They are going to hold us until their leader arrives. Said it could take days. I'm not sure I want to wait that long. What do you think?
