Ascended

There are four great academies within Altanruhl where the students make a study of the Pael and ultimately become Magen. Any who have emerged from one of these Academies successfully is typically referred to as an Ascended.

Although all Ascended are viewed in a similar light among the general population, each Academy has its own rules governing what is required to Ascend, and what happens to those who achieve this status. As such, any two Ascended may have wildly disparate skills from one another.
