The Twin Temples of the Tides

The Twin Temples of the Tides are two grand sanctuaries in Dutama dedicated to The Eternal Tide and the Goddess Umberlee. Located just south of the walls of the lower city near Fish Town. Known as The Temple of the Rising Tide and The Temple of the Falling Tide, they symbolize the eternal balance between growth and decline, creation and destruction.

  • The Temple of the Rising Tide represents renewal, prosperity, and the dawn of new ventures. It is adorned with pearlescent mosaics and fountains of crystal-clear seawater that cascade gently into reflecting pools.
  • The Temple of the Falling Tide embodies letting go, reflection, and the inevitability of change. Its dark stone architecture and tranquil saltwater pools invite quiet meditation and introspection.

High priests from both temples work in harmony, performing rituals during the high tide and low tide, ensuring balance between the city, the sea, and the Eternal Tide's will. The temples are not only places of worship but also centers of healing, divination, and guidance for sailors and nobles alike.
